Not regularly, no. But as the commentator said earlier, Leeds have only been the 9th best team in the Championship since Boxing Day. Not 1st, not 2nd, not even top 6. If you want that sort of quality in the PL, then fine. We're all entitled to our opinions. And in any event, I'm not intending to criticise Leeds. I'm merely defending Sheff Utd. No-one has more wins than them, no-one has a better GD than them, and only three sides have outscored them. And they haven't even had the benefit yet of a home game vs Ipswich to improve those stats. If they finish 2nd (or 1st), I won't be complaining. We're not talking Boro here, with a mighty GD of 6. Sheff Utd have a GD of 35!!
Maybe Middlesbrough will come up. 45 goals in 44 games, 4th worst in the division. (Huddersfield got promoted with -2 GD, which was nuts)
If they do make the play-offs (which will be tough after today, but still very possible - Derby's last three games aren't particularly nice), I would make them second favourites after Villa. We all know Pulis - he will inevitably keeps things tight, and they might just squeeze through. I really hope they don't win them, naturally.
Their likely opponents, WBA, may have something to say about that, but yeah, it is difficult to see past them at this stage.
Classic Bielsa. Thought they’d crash and burn much worse tbh but was inevitable they’d be **** after Xmas
Billy McNeill has died at the age of 79. A Celtic legend, he was captain of the famous Lisbon Lions when they became the first British team to win the European Cup in 1967. He made 790 appearances for Celtic and also managed the club. RIP Billy McNeill 1940-2019
And to think all those "Lisbon Lions" came from within 30 miles of Glasgow, in stark contrast to the present day Celtic squad, which is big and widesperad in numbers but is lackiing in quality.
And lacking in class. Although that improved a little when Brenda left them for another Has been team.
