They're 2 different types of players, however saying that Obertan looked quality against Fulham, he's getting the confidence he never had at United.

Taarabt is unproven in the PL though, as is Obertan.

    Exactly!!
Some of you are saying that they are equal.
We'll just have to differ on that one.

Taarabt is just getting back to his best from his fasting should be an interesting game but guys dont underestimate taarabt on his day he may turn your defence inside out it just depends which taarabt turns up.

Sounds like many of you underestimate Bothroyd/DJ/Faurlin, and Taraabt can be added to that if there's any comparison with Obertan.
    Good, this bodes well :D
    Roll on monday !!

They are equal because they're both unproven in the prem, that's what people are trying to get across.

Taarabt and Obertan are both unproven in the PL so can't say either way. Taarabt has one good championship season behind him, nothing more. Obertan has had a promising season or so with Marseille a few years back. Both have to prove they can cut it in the PL so are pretty similar at present. Most Toon fans realise this won't be an easy game but think we'll have a sight edge, nothing big headed about that.

That's why people might say they are "equal". Both not really proven at the top level. On his day, Taarabt can tear a team to pieces but from what I've seen there arent enough of those games.

Also Ramadan will have affected a number of players. Be interested to see who of Ba, Tiote and Taarabt improve now it's over.

Your team is better than ours on paper???? have to question that to be honest mate. What I will say is however you are the home side and given the transfer activity the place will be buzzing if you don't score in the first 30 mins I can see us winning or at least getting a point.

They are equally both not proven at Prem level, BUT, from what I've seen of the two of them, Taarabt has far,far more ability. Of course now I've said that, Obertan will probably run us ragged tomorrow night now!!

I'd argue that Obertan has just as much potential though, he's merely a confidence player and was never going to shine at Man Utd IMO.

Taarabt, Barton and SWP are excellent players, however I've seen SWP and Taarabt having a few shockers in the past in the premiership.

I guess we will find out but I think this ones going to be tight.
