De Gea - Any keeper would be vulnerable with a defence like ours so he can't be blamed too much for the odd mistake particularly this season when it seems we have allowed more shots on goal since 1728. Contract uncertainty can't help, but surely he must be able to put all that aside once he gets between the sticks. Our seemingly favoured replacement - Oblak, has just signed a new deal so who do we replace him with. KEEP.

Smalling - A disaster wherever he is on the pitch and he only seems capable these days of playing the ball backwards - GET RID

    Lindelof -
Played out of position yesterday, so any wonder he looked lost at times. Showing improvement and has been solid of late an with a more assured defensive partner I think he will improve even more KEEP

    Jones -
The guy has failed to live up to the expectation season after season and he's pretty much as bad as Smalling - GET RID

Dalot - Faltering after a promising start but his confidence depends on the rest of the defence. He deserves the chance to show what he can do. KEEP

Fred - In two minds whether to stick or twist. His main problem is that there is no movement around him, nowhere to play the ball so he gets caught in possession. One more season. KEEP

    Matic -
Too static, to immobile and seems to have lost the physiocal edge that made it worth the while having him in the side - GET RID

    Pogba -
Ineffective and disruptive. You can sense how toxic he is a mile away. Not worth the bother. GET RID

    Martial -
Less effective as time goes by. His assists and goal stats do not justify his place at the moment. He seems to shine then fade every three or four games, he needs consistency to justify his place KEEP

    Lukaku -
A relic from days gone by, too static, too predictable and too few goals GET RID

    Rashford -
Sign the paper or go. Bang in a few goals each week then you can start holding the club to ransom over a new contract KEEP

He was really solid for Shakhtar Donetsk - there's a reason he looks shabby now and that's the poor movement and performances from Matic and Pogba. He looks a different player when he's paired with McTominay - I'd give him a chance to perform without Pogbas ego and Matic in the way.

Don't believe Dalot deserves any criticism. He's being played out of position nearly every game recently and that's been because of suspensions and injuries.

Play him on the right and he's a quality player. Fully dependable.

Fred has been a massive disappointment so far. He doesn't just get caught in possession, he gives the ball away, often on the simplest of passes. It's like he doesn't know what he's going to do with the ball until he receives it. But having said that, it's his first season and maybe he'll grow in his 2nd season. Deserves to be given that chance.

That list was just yesterday's playing side, Bailly has become a real disappointment for me. When he first arrived i thought he was solid and dependable and he was always keen to bring the ball out but (and I know he has been hampered by injury) his game seems to have dipped. He's another one who goes into the 'we know they can do it' pot, but how long do we give players like that. Keep them too long and we'll be selling at a huge loss to the likes of Fulham and Aston Villa. Bailly should go, as should Rojo, Valencia, Darmian, Mata and Sanchez................... I think that leaves us with four first team players.

Yeh Bailly seems to have become a liability and yet I can't help feeling he's still a bloody good CB if he can get some consistency and play alongside someone decent.

Seeing as we need depth in squad and the ability to rotate CBs even with new one/s coming in, I'd be inclined to keep him.

On that note, we seem to have a lot of squad players rather than 1st team players.

Lot of wages to cover if these were to get sold.

Not many will want to match the wage they draw at United right now.

Yeh that could well be the case with the ones we want rid of. Matic has a year left on his contract, others like Smalling and Jones have just had their contracts renewed <doh> they were on lower wages but fck knows what it is now, hopefully nothing more than 80k.

We are cutting a lot with Young, Valencia and Mata coming to the end of their contracts. About £350k per week in total. We could almost double that if we get rid of Pogba. And triple it if we get rid of Sanchez.

Nobody is taking Sanchez wage on, he will see his deal out in comfort at United.

Big job for Ole, Woodward needs to be the man who is told what to do by Ole.

We'll have to subsidise any salary for Sanchez if someone wants him. And then there's always China.

    Yeah, this is obvious really.

United could and should take the hit on half his wages to get him out of the dressing room.

Pogba looked like a cart horse amongst thoroughbreds last night. He should be too embarrassed to pick up his wages.

That's the heart of the problem - he isn't embarrassed, not one little bit.

Ander Herrera could be involved on Sunday following injury. “I would think so yeah,” the 46-year-old manager said. “Ander’s been training, enthusiastic and will probably be involved on Sunday. I can’t guarantee but he’s trained the last two days.”

Having a calamity keeper makes the defence nervous, can't blame them.

meh, par for the course beating Trotterham at their place, it's the Brightons, Cardiffs, Bournemouths et al that play us off the park.
talking of Cardiff, you lot better turn up for that.

We need to turn up for Chelsea first. If we do then you got no worries regarding Cardiff as we'll still be gunning for top 4.
