I’m still staggered that City didn’t come in harder for Virgil (though granted, he didn’t have the best game today). They’d have won the title by ten points and still be in the CL if they had.
I think I am correct in believing that most people connected with Man Utd would much rather see City take the title than Liverpool. Just saying...
If the Cardiff player hadn’t dived under the cross and just nodded the ball into an unguarded goal, it could have led to a very nervy end for the scousers. I only caught a fleeting glance of the attempt, but felt the dive was unnecessary and that he should have just let the ball come to him. Maybe I am being too harsh. I need to see it again.
Clear penalty in my view hugged him tight with both arms three times , that’s not defending its extreme hugging. Penalty should have been given before Salah went to ground
If the Cardiff player hadn’t dived under the cross and just nodded the ball into an unguarded goal, it could have led to a very nervy end ----------- Looked an easy chance. He snatched at it, in the strangest possible sense. I imagine he'll be dreaming of that chance tonight.
When you watch Salah in the area, you can see his legs starting to give way, it's just a matter of time. It's bizarre. God knows what VAR will make of him next term.
Football is and always has been a contact sport. VAR, incompetent officials, and cheats like Salah between them will turn it into a non-contact sport which won’t be worth watching.
I agree...it wasn't one touch and he went down, he struggled to get free and was held a couple of times.
Sadly THAT view point has changed. It’s no longer a contact sport & continues to worsen. Shame. Big shame. I appreciate “ale house football” is dead but what we’re experiencing now is just, sad?
It was IMO. Salah went down easily but Morrison was an idiot. No need to have his arms round Salah like that. Gave the referee every opportunity to point to the spot.
