Ollie had it easy for the first few months -all he had to do was come in and not piss anyone off. There's a lot of talent in that team (and a bit of deadwood) but their attitude is off somehow. Now the honeymoon is over and he realises he needs to stand on a chair and bang some heads together it's all getting a bit tricky. A good manager has to know when to encourage and when to admonish - but above all he has to make it absolutely clear that he's in charge. We'll see what Ollie's made of now that some of the egos are starting to reassert themselves.
I personally think what he's gone and done is forgotten what he did day 1 which was pretty damned simple. he's had a couple injuries and has ended up drifting off to what is a pretty mish mash set up now. now klopp no matter what really happens is predictable enough. 433 with one no 6. It really doesn't vary that much unless a really exception. why has ogs now forgotten his basic principle? de gea dalot - any Old ****e - lindeloff - shaw matic - Herrera Pogba lingard - rashford - martial anything else has got to be a direct substitution of the **** he's got to make it mostly work. young right back mctominay as the clogger. etc etc
A lot of wumming starting about lfc summer friendly. Apparently we've asked for spurs toilet bowl. We've got 3 concerts at Anfield.... so once again local fans shafted... I think there was one added late last year which wasn't full team? The 2 or 3 years prior we hosted none.
Yeah heard was in talks because as you say concerts at anfield. ****ing farce. Why would we want to play there ffs. Emptyhad would make more sense.
We played Wembley.... last year or year before as well.. What wrong with looking after ones own one in a blue moon eh?
You probably haven't noticed but Ole promised every squad player would get game time to prove themselves and has 3 or 4 changes to the team on a consistent basis to provide this. Herrera has been left out since he is refusing to sign a contract and Matic has been injured (also losing his legs), McTominay has developed a hell of a lot in his last 10 games and will/could be a great player for us. This season was written off in November and has been treated as a test of staff since Ole came in, top 4 would be a very welcome bonus for us. The real work comes in the summer, can Ole select the right players to buy, can he create a viable competitive team? who knows.
Local fans have 30 games a season to attend. No reason to come down south and let those further afield to get to a game a lot easier.
Problem is, after the good start was way too much hype about him being the messiah. All the stats about no manager being better start since busby etc etc really haven’t helped. Yeah no doubt he did well but he wa sbeating bottom half teams, something man united should be doing. He came in and made the place happy and as such got 20% extra from the players which was enough to get through those games. He may turn into a good manager, but he’s not a tactical genius and it was only 5/6 years ago he was relegated with Cardiff. You may get top 4 but that’s probably more to do with arsenal not being able to play away from home and Chelsea being more than a 1 man team than we were with Suarez rather than united being great. I reckon youll be fighting top 4 again next season rather than pushing for title and OGS will probably be gone within a year or two as although seems like a nice enough guy, hasn’t done anything to show he’s good enough manager to get united where they should be. He’s never ha smokey to spend and we all know that it’s not easy to spend money if you’re not used to it, ask moyes, Rodgers and AVB how they got on when they finally got money at united, Liverpool and spurs.
so are Liverpool only competing with City because Arsenal, United and Chelsea have suddenly become ****? Yes Ole failed with Cardiff, as you say he had no money to spend and went for cheap Danish imports to try and get through, with United he will have money. You say he is no tactical genius and I would agree there is no proof of this yet I have seen him make many in game changes that have won us a lot of points, some with personnel, some with positional changes. There is enough to make me think he knows what he is doing
In a way yes. If you, Chelsea or Arsenal were better then you’d be competing st the top with us and city? Not sure why that’s so funny...? Yeah he’ll have money but like I said, you need to know how to spend it. Rodgers, failed when he Suarez money. AVB the same with bales money and Moyes the same with uniteda cash. It’s easy to say hell have money so will be better but has he got the personality to manage the big players as well
I never said that, I said he now has the money. Personality wise I think he will be fine, he is used to playing and interacting with much bigger players and personalities than we have now and will not take **** from anyone. His most recent remarks point to players like Martial and Pogba with the reality check quote, they can play but need to do it rather than think it. Every ex-player who knows him says he is a lovely happy guy but single minded where football is concerned and not afraid to speak his mind.
