Exactly. Hamilton, needs better management, the fact he said he wanted to make it to the end of the race let the rest know he wasn't going to fight too much. I hope he gets his mojo back but he's been penalised or insulted for dangerous driving at nearly every race this season. His confidence is knocked. i hope he just goes for it next and every other race until the end and is 2nd, looks like vettel's this yrs champion.
Bad day for australian drivers. Webber crashing, Ricciardo's car not really working at all. Why did HRT keep him out in a sick car?
Spot on why it was dissapointing. As for Ricciardo, no idea. I still have no idea why his car didn't even move off the start line
I think he's making a point, and trying to go a few weeks without being moaned about. You can't keep someone natural personality hidden, he'll be back.
But as Bando says, he looks average like this. Most peoples reasoning for liking him is either his aggressiveness, or because hes British.
Can Hamilton ever do anything right ? He get's slated for being aggresive and now for being cautious. Give him a break people (might not apply for everyone)
Thats what happens when your a top driver, for evidence look at Vettel, Button, Alonso...... .... .. . .. .
His race was ruined by getting held up behind Michael. For sure he would have been on the podium if it he had not spent almost half the race held up behind him. Although the McLaren looked a match for Red Bull when they fitted the primes as well, so had either one of the McLaren's stayed with 5 secs of Vettel, they surely would have been able to put him under pressure, even though we never got to see Vettel's real pace on the hard's as he was cruising at the end of the race.
good point blp, vettel is always getting slated for having the best car and not being a "racer". button for not being strong enough in quali, which actually is a fair evaluation. alonso.... not really sure. hamilton needs to get a mix. still make the ballsy overtakes but also keep the car on the track for the whole race, a difficult balancing act, especially when he was trying to get past the swerving schumi.

I don't think Hamilton was cautious, he tried, and should've succeeded in getting past Schumacher IF schumacher had played fair. Lewis had him, and he tried to run him off the road, down the straights the, once again, poor decisions of the engineers meant he didn't have the pace to get passed on the straight, his only option was really a lunge into the first chicane, and that wouldn't have done him any favours as it would've ended in tears. I preferred his 'interview' to any others and hope he does them more like this, a wry smile says all it needs to when interviewers are trying to provoke reaction
I didnt think Hamilton was over cautious today it was just that the Merc had too much top speed so had he gone all out to take Schu then it pretty much would have resulted in yet another DNF at the end of one of the straights as Schu aint noted for his generosity in giving room. Had it been Rosberg then he may have assessed it slightly differently. To win another championship he has to fininsh races so a little risk rebalancing has to happen. He'll always have that natural speed - as shown today setting fastest lap after fastest lap as he hunted down Alonso so if he can marry that with better risk assessment then he'll have it cracked. I'll gladly accept a bit more caution (just a little bit) to see him lift another drivers crown.
