Hey guys, Newcastle fan in peace here. From what I've gathered on my team's board we're banking on a draw/win, with the not too far away possibility of a loss. I was wondering what scoreline you guys predicted for Monday nights game. So, what's the score going to be? I believe you guys will stay up this season and have a good little squad on your hands, we'd be fools to underestimate. New signings will require time to gel, this could perhaps be your weakness that we must expose and exploit. (debatable criticism though.) Newcastle are yet to field a prolific and clinical striker this season, so although a strong team sheet, where are earth are the goals going to come from? Personally I reckon a 1-1 scoreline is most likely, both teams will dominate possession throughout different stages in the game. Taarabt & Cabaye the scorers.
Who's this tosser? Anyway, I think this will be a close game with us sneaking it 2-1. It's hard to call how QPR's new signings will take to it. If they field 3 or 4 new players then we could capitalise on any unfamiliarity they may have with their team. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a draw though.
Draws v Villa and QPR and a win v Blackburn wouldn't be bad. I'd like a win here just encase we have another horror display v Villa next weekend.
I'm gonna go with 1-2 to us. It's never ended goalless in a league game between the two teams so there should be at least something goalswise, hopefully for us!
Draw would be a decent result, as is the case in every away game IMO, but with the greatest respect, QPR is a game we should be looking to get a win in.
There are plenty of us here, mate, but we've discussed this game to death. I think the one thing we all agree on is that Barton will score.
Newcastle are one of the teams that Rangers need to get points from to stay up. NU didn't do much in the transfer market and I don't think their forwards are anything special. NU have done well so far but I think they will be down there fighting this season. Rangers players have a lot to prove so 2-0 to the R's.
