Most teams against City seem more interested in keeping the score down rather than having a go at them.
Noticeable that in CL the same fear isn't there and teams are willing to go at them.

 

This City team is coming in to its prime really with only Silva and Kompany coming in to their final years. That's the more worrying thing. I don't see it being like the Scottish league, more like the Spanish league really where there are a cluster of really good team and the teams 7-20 who as you say, concede, or play for the point. You can see from this game alone that even at home they're 5-10 yards too deep and will be picked apart.

That's the current situation. What happens when City win the quad and then do the same again next year (or at the very least domestic treble). They've gained a sense of invincibility (which as we've said they have against the majority of the league already).
Now its not only the 'rest' of the league who are **** scared of City, but all the teams in the league going into damage limitation mode and at the best snatching a draw or rare win.

Plus with City's monetary might and lack of action against it, they can replace easily and keep it going.

Funny that if city are allowed to '''buy" the league every year all it will do is decrease the popularity of the league. It's surely in the best interest of the premiership and the fa to actually keep the league competitive?

Tell that to the SPL, who allowed the clubs to destroy the league over the handling for Rangers, in what was a already declining competitive league anyway.
8 Years since anyone other than Celtic won, 34yrs since anyone other than Rangers or Celtic.

Even Germany having applied rules have been unable to stop Bayern being so dominant. Sure some other club occasionally challenges, but ultimately Bayern win. And if they don't, they buy the competition from rivals.

Hopefully the prem will take note, there is a reason that the prem is popular around the world, it is by far the most competitive league. The German or spanish league are nowhere near the popularity of the prem and nobody watches the French or scotch league at all.

I wouldn't take much for viewing figures to start to fall, and suddenly the TV companies start to wonder why they they are giving all this money to the league.

 

Teams are scared of getting humiliated by city so i would say its not true.

Last season maybe as we would humiliate teams as well. but not this season.

What I do not get is Benteke. Zero goals and assist and you start him against citeh. Hodge is taking the piss. That said we can only hope. I see some getting pissed at other teams not taking on city. We have ourselves to blame for not being brave against United and Everton. So dont get touchy when teams dont give them a game.
