It’s still in our hands , we’ve done enough recently that we could afford to lose this one, forget it and move on.

Better side won but we were done by ref. Shocking decision for the penalty and shocking throughout

On the coach heading home, referee was shocking and his decision to award the pen changed the game, still our keeper did make some great saves to keep the score down, very frustrating but onto the next game

Watching the highlights it seems a fair result albeit another referee car crash.
So pleased for Max, a really nice guy and fantastic performance yesterday. Early days for a keeper but with more games and experience we might have unearthed a gem. Certainly hope so.
One observation yesterday - is Jack Hunt's reputation for liking a tackle going before him ?
On the box the other night he was subbed early by LJ for his and City's protection.
Won't be the first time referees look out for certain players - because that penalty decision yesterday was as bad as I've seen in a very long time.

Even the Villa fans acknowledge that the penalty was dodgy.
I suppose that cancels out the one we had vs QPR.
Great game by Max - although we lost, that performance will lift his confidence no end.
Question; why play Weimann on the wing again, when since being played central he has scored goals?

Disappointing result although expected, like RP says, Max looks a good prospect..Out of the past 5 games, we have still done very well.....would be good to finish in the playoffs but not a disaster if we don't..

9 POINTS NEEDED FROM 5 GAMES
Saikou Janneh scored [so far] 17 goals for Torquay …. as they win their division .. may the spirit of GJ encompass city and bring a little hope to our chances!

Granted, I don't see too many full games, only what ESPN+ shows, but from the limited times I've seen Hunt play he looks like a bit of a liability.

Good goal against WBA but he was involved negatively in both goals yesterday.

First was the penalty. Looked extremely poor from the ref but those happen.

Second was a complete lack of effort once the Villa player had cut inside him. He showed zero desire to get back & help. Bloody lazy.

    Don't rate him at all.

Maybe because he was afraid of giving away another pen?

He'd also been booked early on and that ref was itching to red card a city player. He had to hold back for 70+ minutes - along with a few others. Doesn't help does it?
