You cannot keep sacking managers...if we have learned anything we have learned that.. we are unbeaten away...not playing well away and stil gaining a point..that is progress IMO..teams are not going to rollover just cos we have spent a few quid...most of the players we have now have come because of sven..what would happen if he went now? there is no magic wand..it IS going to take time..do we really want to self destruct now? PATIENCE is required and calm heads.getting a new manager in ,(whoever it is) guarantees nothing...everybody at the club knows there needs to be improvement, IT WILL IMPROVE..let other teams in this league panic we should hold firm... and if wums keep coming, bring them on....we will have our turn...we can't keep having history repeating itself,it takes us nowhere...NOW is the time to support the club, not individuals but the club....please..
Always have supported the club matey, which is why I'm gutted at what's happening under Sven. I really REALLY hope he proves me wrong this season (and if he does I'll gladly eat humble pie n say I was wrong), but sadly (and frustratingly) I seriously don't think he will.
We need to back Sven. Him and the team will come good. We have had an ok start. Not great but not poor. Team needs to gel and it will given a bit of time.
I'm not panicking, we are playing poorly and picking up points.... If we were a Man Utd or Chelsea this would be a "sign of a good team". Let's keep this in perspective, a nightmare of a league to get out of, teams happy taking a point when playing against us and a team weighed down by huge expectation let's just have a little more patience. At least until MON agrees to come back...... (joking)
Probably not, we've been far from convincing in many of our games so far this season and we even managed to lose against by far the worst team we've played(Palace). Still, we look solid at the back, Waghorn put in a decent shift yesterday(looked a little rusty, but improved as the game went on) and I think with a couple of loans in the next couple of weeks(and the return of Cam Stewart next month), we could still be in the mix.
Lambretta, fryatt dropped, waghorn in....next move, waghorn dropped yann the man in...and so on and so on....slow down we are running out of players....
Wait a minute... Isn't Sven the greatest manager of all time? Can't he attract massive players like Beckham and spend billions upon billions of pounds? Isn't Matt Mills to defending what the Hobnob is to biscuits?
Couldn't agree more, let the WUM's have there day, it's what makes the world go around... but it will come together... Sven's and the boy's need our support... BRING IT ON!!!!!!
dont know what the problem is here......unbeaten in three starting to gel and unbeaten away. win on sat against brighton, and all is ok. draw away win at home is automatic promotion. we have no infinate right to win every game, and if you can get a point when playing badly, then all isnt that bad...wont be cutting my wrists just yet
No, that's bullshit. A sign of a good team is playing well, then, when you have an off day away and pick up a draw, that's a sign of a successful team. Manchester United play good football mot of the time, that's why they are a good team. We are not playing well at all so tell me where there's a sign of a good team?
The club will always have our support, obviously. But not necessarily Sven if he aint up to the job and isn't good for our club. Let's face it, with the owners we have - and the time over the summer that Sven's had to sort out a promotion pushing team, we should be top 4 now. But, due mainly to mixed dealings in the transfer market and questionable tactics & formations chosen by Sven, we're not. Many of us have expressed surprise (puttin it mildly) at the lack of wingers he's brought in and the dearth of a decent strike force of any depth. The buck, for good or bad, stops with Sven. He has to see what is bloody obvious to everyone else re tactics and formation, or he simply isn't up to the job. Yes, to a degree any result is dependent on the players but, if their being consistently being played out of position and/or instructed poorly tactically, they'll simply end up proverbially bangin their heads against a brick wall for 90 minutes, with a consequent drop in morale as a result.
I know its frustrating, but FFS it's still very early days. If we were in March, then yes, people would have a point. There's 40 games to go for crying out loud. Sven will put things right and with our support we can get to the promised land. It's a marathon, not a sprint!
In Sven we trust, everybody calm down we will not be far away at the end of season. Just a few teething problems at moment.
OH to come from Leicester & having to support the City It´s never an easy ride for those that don´t know.
If I saw something that gave me cause for optimism then I would'nt be concerned. But I don't see anything other than the same problems as last year but about 12 million lighter in the pocket. Defensively inept, weak in midfield and tactically all over the place. If he can't get this right after a year there is something wrong. 2nd half against Southampton showed everything that is wrong with Eriksson and yesterday was the same. He isn't learning.
