4 games in last year we had 12 points on the board and 17 goals for with just one against I'm painfully aware of how the rest of the season panned out. Neither of the Mancs match our last seasons start .We looked a bit better today.. and I have a hunch things for us will continue to get better, while there will be a guaranteed brick wall awaiting the boys up norf.

    Happy days.

We've got more new blood than both of those teams including a new manager, it will take time but when we gel together I look forward to the outcome <ok>

We have to stick with AVB no matter what the outcome of this season is, even if that means winning nothing for a couple of years or so. He is a very young manager, but has shone that he has the ambition and charisma to be something special. Consistency is key and we have to allow our whole squad to be moulded to play in his style. We are a team in transition and will soon have to retire the likes of Ferreira, Lampard, Malouda and Drogba along with getting rid of deadwood such as Kalou. Replacements will have to be found through youth and 22-25 year old established players. We currently have some of those players, but we still need quite a few more.

I can't see Man Utd falling apart the way Chelsea did last season, sorry.

Nor do any of us, he was just implying that our performances will get better and that people are crowning you champions 4 games in, as did everyone with us last season.

Drogs, it is too early you are correct, but Man Utd and Man City have beaten teams like Arsenal and Spurs heavily in their 1st 4 games which I don't think Chelsea did last season. Not their fault of course. It's what the fixture list threw up.

Gunner--it is certainly too early to predict anything. The Manchester sides have come flying out of the traps, and how they maintain their form will now be put to the test with Euro fixtures and domestic cups to deal with. Injuries and squad quality will also play a part and MU have suffered a key loss yesterday in this department. As a Blue I am encouraged by the new style of play AVB is adopting and even more by the performances of our summer signings.

Beating Arsenal's Z team at Old toilet doesn't mean anything..

City are the real deal tbh..

Stan, about Arsenal, you are correct, but I expect the Arsenal Chelsea will play will be a stronger proposition. Thats not to say Arsenal will win.

I think we will get a good idea of how good United really are next week. I must admit Im not really looking forward to it but we are definatelly capable of going there and getting a result. Somebody definately needs to shadow Rooney, he has the habit of dropping in the hole between our midfield and defence and Mikel just doesnt have the mobility to stop him.

JimmyFloyd--Ronney is certainly a threat, but we always seem to have a good record up there. Lets hope Fergie's screamin and bawlin about a dodgy ref in the post match interview!
