That was tense, I thought Roberts played really well today and if Bamford had put his last touch away for a goal it would have topped a decent display by him too, he held the ball up very well. Sky gave MOM to Phillips but I thought Roberts just edged it myself, Wednesday defended well, that's 20 games this season that we have scored first in and 20 wins
Great result and dominant performance against a well organised side in a run of form. Well done boys.
Roberts should have used his brain and we might have scored more. He didn't pass when he should have, he shot when he shouldn't.
He's still really young though, and he's stepped up massively. I thought he was superb again today. Every time he gets on the ball he's on the front foot looking to make things happen.
Still fairly young and learning, I seriously thought he played well today as they all did. We're nervous as hell, imagine what they are feeling
Some of the tackles on him today and he stayed strong on his feet, okay he hasn't the flair of Saiz but Saiz would have been rolling on the ground an awful lot today. Roberts staying on his feet kept the momentum going
The only one I felt really nervous about today was our Keeper, he oozes confidence but sometimes its like he feels he hasn't had enough of the spotlight, I'd still pick him over BPF but he did have my heart in my mouth a few times today
Been on the piss watching this afternoon but going to truly tie one on to celebrate. Wife is looking at me very quizzically when I said I'm going to get ****ing shacko'd
I think Roberts is a cracking footballer. Only 20, being played in a new position, yeh he makes the wrong decisions at times. He maybe tries the killer pass too often. But show me a 10 who doesn’t. I keep reading that we give the ball away too much, but all sides give the ball away. if you watch our games as a neutral it’s the opposition that give the ball away more in almost every game.
I know he's young. I'm not having a go at him. I just thought some of his football decisions were wrong.
