chances came and went and with it any feint hope of play offs, credit still goes to Adkins for pushing us so close, but ultimately the shackles of fkwit ownership have left us just short.
Effectively season over. Time for Allams to build for next season. .... err, hang on ..... to decimate again ahead of next season. Depressing.
**** happens, BAG. Get yourself a bottle of your fav brew, drink it whilst watching a Monty Python film and go to bed laughing.
Can’t help but feel that’s it for the season. Adkins did a great job getting us close but he was shackled but the gruesome twosome from the off.
Well could always be worse. We could be where Ipswich are tonight. At least Nige got everything he could out of the team and we can have another go next year. Let’s hope the summer isn’t as bad as we all think it will be.
We could easily not pick up another point this season but it will still have been a great effort given where we started.
Think the first ever City away game I saw was at Ayresome Park in 1968. We seem to have been losing 1-0 in Middlesborough ever since! Ah well, great effort by the team in the circumstances. Ultimately the away form has let us down in recent weeks. I don't necessarily share the pessimism that Nigel Adkins will leave, but I have a feeling we won't know until after the last game of the season.
I think we will know if Nige is staying or going fairly soon. I expect the f wits will be messing around with the backroom staff again especially Crosby and that will be the stick that breaks the camels back. We know their track record on this with Phelan the most obvious loser. Why the **** would any one who had rebuilt their reputation risk another year of this shoe string bullshit. I don’t think he will stay.
Rumour mill saying he's staying on for less money so all his backroom staff keep their jobs. Probably bullshit but if true what a man
https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11692811/middlesbrough-1-0-hull two questions.... how the hell did JDW not keep out the cross ball for their goal and who missed the sitter at the far post...?
You bring back memories Kingston! I think that was my second or third away game. FA Cup Jan 1968, one each. Lost after two replays (with a league defeat sandwiched inbetween so we played them four times in less than a fortnight). All I can remember was big John Hickton, later of City of course.
Seeing those highlights looks like we made a fist of it (did I really say that) I was at the florist match, I know we don’t have crowds at the KCOM but at the city Ground there are 27000 booing at the end the match, expectations were high for them I suppose whereas ours were low. Just goes to show what can be done with so little
