Wolves have been a really tight defensive unit all season. So I don't think Adama was supposed to be standing there.
I find it quite brilliant how our CB's are utterly harmless when a ball is whipped on to their heads, but then it all breaks down and you have Maya going for overhead kicks, quick flicks, and Vestegaard trying to (and almost) dribble around 3 players. Oh Saints you never make any sense, and I love it.
How anyone could ever suggest that JWP should be dropped is beyond me. He hasn’t had the best of games but has contributed to 2 of our goals.
In the past you could make the argument that it wasn't worth sometimes carrying a passenger - even one with incredible technical ability (though I always felt it was worth giving a young player time to grow on the pitch). But now that he is throwing himself about and doesn't get 'lost' as much... Even if his 'box-to-box' game isn't polished and he doesn't have it all together in a central role, he has to be in a team that isn't exactly overflowing in goal threat elsewhere most of the time.
