It’s episode 9 mate, the last one in this Saga.

 

...... That laugh. He's back - Sheev Palpatine.

 

Meh, last few have been over hyped, over rated and over acted.

None have matched the first three.

 

Think they need to get this out the way then try again. Which they will.

How though? Clone? Force Ghost? I was already freaked out seeing Darth Maul at the end of Solo.

 

Watched the original movie recently, with the sound bar on full blast. The ****ing music man....wow.

 

Wonder if he's interested in buying a football club?

"Palpatine's black and white army" has a ring to it. Stormtroopers are almost in club colours anyway.

The story of Darth Plagueis. Discovered the secret to cheating death and passed on to his apprentice - Palpatine. Palpatine used the story to seduce Anakin remember.

Qui Gon, Yoda, Obi Wan, Anakin and Luke learned the secret to manipulate the force to become force ghosts. Palpatine was more powerful than of them. He cheated death.

 

I know but after his fall the Death Star blew up. Cheating death is one thing but recovering every charred fragment of yourself from the depths of space is on another level. There were some expanded universe books where he cloned himself before ROTJ and his force spirit inhabited one. BTW, Have you read Plagueis?

 

Aye, the clones weren't very good in the old expanded universe. It could be a red herring of course. It may that Palpatine simply appears as a force ghost.

I have read Plagueis. Brilliant book. James Lucerno is the best of the expanded universe authors. I love the Marvel comics which fill in a number of blanks. Sad enough that I own all of the Marvel Star Wars comics in their action figure variants ha.

 

Could Snoke have been an experiment in him trying to clone himself?

 

Possibly. Would explain a lot. Snoke's background was never explored. Wouldn't be surprised if Palpatine is behind the First Order.

 

The title itself is intriguing. The rise of which Skywalker? Not Kylo; he's Ben Solo. Did Luke have a secret lovechild?

 

Rey will be a Skywalker would be my guess. That is why she and Ben Solo have a bond. I bet they are brother and sister hence the Palpatine link.

 

Is it as good as The 39 Steps?

 

There's also the possibility that Palpatine is Rey's great grandfather. There's been a rumour for years that Palpatine is Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vaders father and the reason why Palpatine had a close bond with Vader.

That means either Leia had another child meaning she is Ben Solo's sister or she is Lukes daughter. It would certainly explain the Palpatine angle.
