Wolves and Watford play each other in the league (as well as cup today) so there will be dropped points there. We need maximum points from Newcastle at home Friday and West Ham away as we have a tough last 3 but could have a big say in the champions league places having you and Chelsea at home....You and Chelsea also have EL commitments of course so that might benefit us
Really good league this year. Proper battle for 1st & 2nd and good fight for top 4 too. Then another battle for 7th and the (potentially) last Europa place. Then another ding dong at the bottom to try and avoid that final relegation spot, although Cardiff look like they've been well and truly sucked into that bottom 3 now.
We've got as good a chance as any of them in my opinion. Three points ahead of Everton and one point behind Leicester with a game in hand. We have four of the last six games at home including Wolves. We do have Arsenal at home and Chelsea away but I think the other teams have similarly tricky games too. This goes to the last day.
I guess the flip side to that is two sides that have been so awful and cut adrift at the bottom which is unusual. I’ve just looked at your fixtures and you have a crazy amount before you play us whereas we have 2! Do you know where the EL semis fit in in relation to our game?
We've got you on 29th April and then the EL semis are on 2nd and 9th May. We've got to get past Napoli first though.....
Shouldn’t be a problem Just looked and the final is a few weeks after the season which is a shame (we have Chelsea last game if they get through)
Yeah it's definitely been a competitive one. We should've have had 3rd sewn up but our lack of strengthening in the summer finally took it's toll and we were gash for a number of weeks prior to the Palace game, hopefully the new stadium has given us that added bit of momentum to finish the job. From a Spurs perspective, we're probably going to be rooting for Leicester to finish 7th as that'll likely mean they'd need results against you lot and Chelsea at the King Power to have secured it. Agree on Cardiff, can't see them getting out of the drop.
Imagine being the biggest club in the world but behind a team with a back three of Monreal, Sokratis and Mustafi.
Gooners have been **** first half. Everton deservedly ahead. I imagine Arsenal will turn it around in the second half and have a goal blitz.
Problem is, I just don't see where he would go if they try to cash in. They want big money, hes not got the worth ethic for Bayern or Dortmund who also probably can't or don't want him. Can't see any club wanting him, just an expensive asset being useless in their squad
I still believe City will win everything this season, but I guess Wolves would give them a better game in the final, so come on Wolves.
