They should, would be a cracker. Hell of a book and would suit being a film. Got a question here, trying to get the paper back of the final part of the Mexican Cartel books, The Border, and for some reason it's not out till next year. Is this normal? Seems weird as **** to me it only being hardback for a full year.
Favourite Aussie film was The Club which was a comedy centred on an aussie rules club. How it looks now god knows since i haven't seen it since the 80's.
The Force is one of the best books I’ve ever read - if not the best. I hadn’t heard of this guy until you brought the subject up. Cheers for that, what a writer he is. I looked on Amazon and the paperback of The Border isn’t due until Feb 2020. I guess they’re ripping as much as they can from the hardback first.
Yeah, no doubt. I'm not getting the hardback, **** it. Will have to wait. I've read a few of his, last one was The Winter of Frankie Machine. Also very good. The Power of the Dog is still the best read for me, although The Cartel was also a classic. They should do a film of those two.
I don't see Matt Damon as Denny Malone though, do you? A bit too all American. Di Caprio if he put a stone or so on, maybe? Or is that too obvious?
I just finished reading The Winter of Frankie Machine too. Much shorter, but still a very good book. I don’t think it’s possible for him to write a bad one. I’ve still got the Kings of Cool and Savages to read.
Nice you two are getting on now, all the best Just remember Chief if you must have a dig at NSIS then quote him ffs or he cant argue his case, cheers pal x
I watched a film called Mandy last night with Nicolas Cage, on the premise he never makes a bad film. He does......it was absolute mince.
I bought Desperation Road by Michael Farris Smith while I wait for The Border on paperback. Any idea if good?
