Yep. First we have to go the whole game with Carragher banging on about Liverpool. Then he comes rushing down from the gantry to join the on-pitch love in with VVD, Salah, and Henderson. Can't stand Sky. You shouldn't be able to co-commentate on teams you support imo. Show some balance.
Thankfully it was just Carragher, and for some reason I can just tune his incomprehensible babble out
But I mean, running down from the commentary box and running over and hugging the Liverpool goalscorer - seriously, how partisan can you get? And that's after making us sit through 80 minutes of commentary focused entirely on what Liverpool have to do to break us down and win, and then celebratory waffle for the remaining 14.
Managed not to spoil an amazing game, though. Well proud of the team for that, and can only imagine what damage we could do with so much as a bit more quality upfront.
Liverpool’s quality told, they were clinical and better at taking chances. That’s why they are where they are.
Sadly though...............we are still the most vulnerable in the last 15 minutes or so. It would be an interesting exercise to see how many points we have given away in this time frame over the season?
It’s late, but will briefly say I thought we did well, and I really, really didn’t think Liverpool were particularly good. Plus of 32,000 people to choose from, I have to go and sit in front of the referee Nice to see you @tomw24
Disagree. Ryan did really well oositionally. If he moved to make that challenge, Salah puts Firminho in on goal. Just a fecking good finish. ****er* *salah not you
Just to add some bitterness to this perspective.... total cost of ex-Saints playing for Liverpool was £130m
Neddy, On last night's game, that was inevitable and not a problem for me. Two reasons: 1. I saindto my lad on 70 mins that we had worked so hard for so long, we could understandably run out of steam. 2. and this one I really don’t mind... Ralph went to for it. Fair play to him for that. How may times have we groaned when we’ve sat back when in a good position and it has back fired? All the way back to Man Utd at home under Nigel.
Oh and excuse me Sky (****ers, glad I ditched it).... there was another striker who scored his 50th goal last night! I didn’t see you waxing lyrical over that. Knobs. Congratulations Shane but is a shame that Sky didn’t run a caption showing your achievement of 50 goals in just 288 PL games. Anyone got any blue ink?
I thought Hitler wanted to unite Europe Very good performance from Vestergaard. Kept Salah on a leash
The commentator said that even with VAR the offside goal would still stand, next season, as the period of play following the offside was too long/there were opportunities to clear. If that is right then what’s the point of VAR? The period of play wouldn’t have happened if the offside had been given in the first place, so how can the goal be allowed to stand?
I want a cut off point for VAR deliberations...it didn't favour us on this occasion, but my fear was that deliberations would go back too far and hold up the game. As long as the rules are clear about how long is long, I have no problem with this.
