I just posted something similar elsewhere only Arsenal, it's like they dont want to win the title ROFL...
Nothing to do with some **** refereeing? Yes, we were bad after Squillaci came on, though. ****, actually.
Bad refereeing: 1.) Barton should have been booked for his tackle on Diaby 2.) Nolan should have been sent off for his reaction on Szczesny; it was identical to Diaby's reaction 3.) The third goal was not a penalty 4.) van Persie scored but was incorrectly flagged offside. And you United fans wonder why we ask questions about the refereeing decisions? First last week, and now this? Phil Dowd is one ****ing spineless coward who gave into pressure from the Newcastle fans. He could see neither penalty, and yet awarded them both without even consulting with his linesman. Fair enough, he got the first one right, but for the second Williamson was all over Koscielny, and Rosicky didn't touch him.
I think this shows how badly we need a covering DM, when Diaby was off we had Fab and Wilshere, and Newcastle bossed the midfield. It also shows how badly we need a CB. Squillaci didn't do anything wrong, but he is a curse, it was 4-0 when he came on. Come to think of it, he didn't actually do anything.
That's what I said. Yes, we were poor, that was unacceptable, but you can't avoid the fact that some of those decisions were appalling and cost us two points. I don't think you're in a position to comment having not seen the highlights, but after Newcastle's first Penalty, Nolan grabbed Szczesny by the neck and wrestled him to the floor, which was precisely what Diaby did to Barton, and the referee correctly booked Szczesny for timewasting, yet failed to even book Nolan.
season over with regards to a title challenge i think at arsenal. can't see the players or wenger mentally recovering from this, especially if united win. even if they do, as soon as they get in another situation like this, the odds of it being bottled go up massively. your only hope is if united drop points to chelsea and pool and city hit a bad patch of form.
