Sorry but I really disagree with your assessment. Didn't keep count but can specifically recall three wasted opportunities because of poor passes. And what difference does it make if they were forward passes (not all were!)? They are still poor passes revealing either lack of skill or poor judgement. Or both.

A copper wouldclip you round the ear once upon a time if you were nasty. That would stir a lawyer loins today.....and the dogooders would be law officials with a 3 strikes your out attitude (letting petty's off until they maybe kill someone later!)
Why do people carry knives? For protection or aggression? If searched and knives found, what happens?

Regarding the less than capacity 62k attendance last night, it seems the club deliberately didn’t sell the front two rows in the north and south stands. I can’t copy and paste, but more clarity is now on the THST Twitter.

Surely the front rows would be the FIRST thing the design modelling
phase would have checked for spectators ??

It's an odd thing, no doubt. If there's doubt as to sight lines, what they need is some very tall people to stand in the front row.....at a significant discount, of course.

It'll start to make up for all the money I spend on extra leg room seats on flights....

What a difference a few days and a win make - Add in playing the first match in our new home and the whole place seems happy and friendly again.

I am sure that a lot of the opinions and feelings from Liverpool thread are still lurking but the whole place has a lighter more upbeat feel today.

And boy did we need that win, hopefully a corner turned in the run in, 4 more wins in the league required at home now and top 4 should be achieved.

On another note I normally avoid Adrian Durhams radio show like the plague, but tonight I just happened to turn on just as he was saying that right now everyone in the world of football should be jealous of Tottenham because they have the best ground in the league and possibly the world.

I heard that bit of his show, which I would normally avoid like the plague, having expected the opposite view. A pleasant surprise.

It is truly an incredible build. I read that it's the only PL stadium on a high road, which in London, makes the whole thing even more extraordinary.

A club having one owner for 18 years is extraordinary, for that owner to keep to a stated purpose and deliver what they promised just doesn't happen any more. I'm still sceptical about Everton raising finance to build anything remotely similar, let alone pay for it, but we shall see.

As amazing as the build is, having the financial discipline to fun a football club (financial black hole) so as to be able to borrow that kind of financing is possibly more of a gob smacking achievement. The hysterical twitterati don't get it but it will transform us. Just a look at sponsors - Audi, Heiniken, HP, EA Sports, Nike, Hugo Boss, AIA - these are premium blue chip companies that we wouldn't have got anywhere near just a decade ago. If DL can get the sponsorship package right for the stadium, Joe Lewis should give him a majority share holding as a reward (along with Donna Cullen and Matthew Collecott).

Now, lets go and blow some cash on midfielders and full backs!

In keeping with the rest of the stadium, they were state of the art holograms not actual fireworks.<laugh>

On SSC, a bloke who sat in the front row of the South Stand at The Legends game, said that whilst the view is not ideal, he'd have willingly paid for that view v Palace.

There's bound to be the odd quirk to having playing surfaces, one 6' below the other. Those front row seats will be incredible for rugby and NFL but they're less so for football. I can get that. There's compromises to be made everywhere in life. ADDENDUM - maybe not? The first couple of rows of seats in the North and South Stands are removed for the artificial pitch. I forgot that.

Maybe the front row seats will have a 'restricted view' price tag attached and the club rightly thought that they could do without the 'SHOCK' 'HORROR' 'OUTRAGE' that would ensue from doing so for the first game?

Not a high priority concern for the remainder of this season.
A resolution will come out in the wash over the summer I guess.

For the record, as a kid at WHL in the north/south ends, I used to have
to stand on the terrace step that would ensure that I could see over
the "hoops" (so my eye line only literally two foot above pitch level) .

I'm sure as a kid you could easily endure sitting in those seats for a
    reduced price. :)

Yeah you could say the new stadium game came at the right time, we probably would've drawn or lost that at Wembley after our recent form. Being at the new girl probably gave the lads a much needed boost and incentive to go out there and perform.

Just need to ensure we make it a fortress for the last 4 home league games. Anything less than wins in those will mean trouble.

Doesn't look like someone who's sick of the game, does it? I think that we all felt that one.

Don't shoot the messenger - I'm only passing on something from SSC, not vouching for its authenticity.

It's been suggested that 235,000 pints were sold on Wednesday in the ST/\DIUM. It's little ****ing wonder that some of the bars were running out. That's well in excess of £1m in beer sales alone.

Sure, the ground opened earlier than it will normally, but it will have emptied earlier than for a weekend game too. Daniel Levy was encouraged to be brave on pricing to reap the rewards - this is the harvest.

Or, to put it another way, six weeks worth of Christian Eriksen being paid £150k a week...

Is that why Toby is ticked off because Ericson is paid more than him?
