Someone on here must be able to bring up the record of, say, the last 20 games. Quinn has backed - supported this shambles! Both have to go.
BB I think (though obviously could be and probably am wrong) that Short doesn't make the footballing decisions. Surely not! He will trust Quinn to do that.... Well. Quinn has backed Keane and Bruce with Short's money. Not me. Not you, Not Bruce, really, but Quinn. We have 2 points from 4 games. I think we will get beat off Stoke - why not. Where does that leave us? Not all Bruce's fault - especially after his words in the paper today. He wasn't expectin Gyan away. Quinn has been TOO quiet to my mind. x
No multi-billionaire gives up control of an asset Bobby, no way on gods green earth. Short will decide, i personally think he'll want Quinn gone anyway as he'll want a business associate in to turn the club to profit.
Bobby you are either insane or just stupid. How can you seriously say bruce out?? He's the clubs savoiur. Everyone is entitled to thier opinion but I think yours should be wrote off from now on
Peeps think I'm some sort of boogey man BB. I like Quinn, but think he is failing. If my money was in the club, I would want the right answers. I cant see short with all his commitments having that much of a say over us; but I agree he might bring his own person in. (thats for the ladies!!!) Quinnj has to go because he has now lied on 3 occassions. Bruce has to go because he is inept. BUT BB -how long have people like me been saying this? Another fault against our so-called football chairman methinks. x
Bruce, 100% for me, he's ****ed it, looks like he's lost a few of the players, Quinn, maybe move to an ambassadorial role, and bring in a business manager, i dunno. Quinnsaved the club, we cannot deny or argue that fact mate.
BB Gary Pigg could have done what Quinn did. Kevin Ball. Joe Bolton. Really disenchanted now. Cant believe in Quinn. BB. Either he goes or I do. x
Let's bring back Murray sack Quinn then sack Bruce and bring back Terry Butcher. In the January transfer window we should go for Chris Brown and John Oster. FFS
Im deffo a member of the NIB not a member of the NOB Not sure about SB for me he has 3 games to save his job
Without doubt one of the worst posts I've ever had the misfortune to read. Unfortunately typical of the kneejerk brigade. What has Quinn done for this club? Frankly if you have to ask I can't be arsed to explain it to you. I dispair
Where would SAFC have been without Quinn's ability to bring together a group of people that put this club on a sound economic and business footing, and to a point where pundits believe we are an established premiership team. Without Quinn, no Drumaville and no Ellis Short. Do you really think that Ellis Short would stay with the club if Quinn was ousted? No chance!!! Quinn does not make the footballing decisions, he would be the first to admit 'football management' is not for him. We are lucky to have a chairman that has played football, played for SAFC and loves the club and people ..... he is not in this for the money, but he will not mortgage the club to satisfy the whims of certain 'prima donnas' that enjoy the benefits of football. To judge him from your sofas without any knowledge of why Gyan has gone, why we could not replace bent with the quality signing we obviously needed and wanted is to say the least a little harsh. However, I think Niall should come clean and explain the current situation, and I am sure he will at the appropriate time. As for Bruce, again until we know the facts it is difficult to judge him regarding both the Gyan and Bent issues. With regard to his team choice and tactics, yes he can be a little niave, but they spend all week working together on tactics and playing together. When they get on the pitch it is down to the players. All teams need a leader (not captain) who will drive and lift the spirits of the players when needed, I dont think this new bunch of players have found that yet. When they do and get the benefit of a win we will see improvement. We need to be patient, lets see where we are at the end of October before we judge on manager and players. As for any replacement for Bruce, should we reach that stage .......... Kidd? you have got to be joking. Its not like buying a new car, any new manager has got to want to come and work under the constraints imposed by club, chairman and financier ............ and no manager has the magic wand or a devine right to success. We still have one of the better english managers in the country, lets hope he can prove it and motivate his depleted squad to improve significantly before the end of October.
Truth hurts, Go and hide your head. Class aren't we? C'mon Blackcat. Where we going to finish? 6th? 7th? 8th? Pathetic. Hey. Dont forget to blame the manager! He controls everything, doesn't he? Perhaps in your computer world but not in real life. Gullible. Aren't we great?
Give us the true answers then, oh great MackenNeil. We are doing so well and have for the last 18 months I must be under the control of dark forces.
........... and you would have us behave like the Mags and have a change of manager as frequently as you change your socks?
No. Why not sack Bruce, employ one of O Neill, Hughes or Curbishley and look to get the best out of the squad we have now. If Quinny feels it is time to move on then fine. Nothing last for ever and Short is a clever businessman who will employ a top professional Chief Executive or Chairman. Niall always said he wouldnt be here forever and maybe he feels he has done all he can and it may well be time after 5 years to move on. I'm not saying I want him to go and thats his decision. Don't get bogged down with sentimentality, or trying to mask the issues by throwing in useless players and managers to make a crap argument even more more crap. What I am witnessing at the moment is as poor as it was under those planks you mentioned mate and it cant be allowed to continue any longer, or else we just might go back to those dark ****ty days sooner than you can imagine. Relegation is written all over Bruce and that team. Ive seen it too many times not to recognise it and yet the team/squad isn't the worst I've seen either. I'm afraid the only cure is to change the man making the hapless decisions on the team and as soon as possible to give a new man the time to effect things before the season becomes just an ill fated rescue mission with 10 games to go.
Yes, until there is evidence of incompetence and not after just four league games, but at a time when a replacement would be in a position to do something about it (ie. not two weeks after the window has shut)
