http://liverpool.theoffside.com/team-news/stoke-city-1-liverpool-0-insert-ugly-joke-here.html? How we play isn't "anything to be proud of". I'm very proud of my team thank you very much. Jeez, how bitter.
Thanx Sgt - oh dear they really are unhappy. I am absolutely gutted for them, so upset. Keep spilling my G & T - from laughing
Bothered sarge??? At least J-W had the grace to admit that the better team won today full stop. Was well pleased with Crouch, in the first half particularly, but all the lads put in a good shift. ShawX, Upson and Deano were immense, but so was the rest of the team. Walters was fantastic. Thought Pennant was the only one who looked off form today. What people fail to recognise is that rule no 1 is to have a solid defensive back line before you start to push on and that is exactly where we are now. If Uncle Arry was given the England manager's job instead of the ******ed Italian, Ryan would be called up no doubting it. UTP!!!
Noblelox, the answer to your question`can we be happy with that?`You bet we can. Most Liverpool fans on here have been very gracious even though I can understand how disappointed they must be. We did ride our luck a bit today, but we also defended like Titans.FFS don`t blame the length of the grass and as for Rory Delap his throws for the best part of the last 2 seasons have been largely ineffective. There`s no need for the` inbred` insults it say`s a lot about yourself! Good luck to Liverpool, their fans ( for the most part) are great. Hope they do finish in the top 4 and I`m sure you`ll get your revenge at Anfield!!
errrr 1-0 to Stoke, I think that means we won, you lost, we get three points and we go ahead of you in the prem he he he he oh dear I am going to possibly expire with laughter.... No I am going to have a dance around the living room.
Chris & Lucas - you are a class act the pair of you. Some you win, some you lose. You have the grace to recognise that. All the best sorry Lucas, can't find a smiley for gin

I'm sure the result will go down in history with an asterisk next to the score to represent that Liverpool, in their own eyes, should have won. What the **** is Dalglish on about? Well played Stoke.
Stoke won a hard-fought game. I constantly hailed our own drive and determination but Stoke City have some of the best of the lot. The passion/determination/drive in every tackle, block and touch of the ball was incredible (And frustrating for us!). The fans, atmosphere was incredible, both sets of supporters were involved in chanting etc. Britannia stadium was literally rocking today. Well done Stoke City. For Liverpool we have to accept the result and take it on the chin, move on and look towards the next game, not only as a team but as a club, we need to show 100% support and keep our faith!
Didn't see the game but by the sounds of it we had most of the play but couldn't convert any chances. The fact that Stoke fans are saying they defended brilliant sort of suggests thats we were all over them. Haven't seen the penalties but I hear Stoke's was soft and the handball probably should have been given? We've had a bit of bad luck with the red card that should have been in the Sunderland game and the lack of penalty in the Bolton game. The pitch obviously didn't suit the way we try and play but then why should Stoke create a pitch perfect for us? Play to your own strengths and all that. I'm sure we'll beat them at Anfield as they'll have to try and adapt their game to suit the surroundings, it's what good teams do. Just a shame we aren't quite good enough yet. Overall a dissapointing result, but not many teams will take 3 points here so time to move on and ensure we beat Spurs next week. It's important not to let 1 defeat turn into 2 and then 3 games without a win.
Summing up.... We need to be able to change our game plan if it is not going well. While it was fun watching us batter them for the last 20 odd minutes, I also saw the futility of what they were doing. The stoke defence (all 8 of them) were well capable of dealing with crosses into the box, so why did they just keep doing that? Why not try something else? It is days like this that you really mourn the lack of good dribblers of the ball. I thought we had one in Saurez, but he didn't appear to be willing to try dance through 8 of them, and odd on chance that if he did get into the area, the ref would just wave it away. Lucas was by far the man of the match again. Henderson deeply disappointed me again. while he might have an excuse with the long grass, his passing, more than anyone else on the pitch was woefully poor. There was some really lovely play out there today, some thinking and some originality with game play. I think that can only get better. We could improve with ball control and accuracy of passing, for which Lucas was a total master today. Pity Henderson and Downing were that much more sloppier. I can't wait for us to start playing teams that actually want to play football! And yes, Stoke is the equivalent of Kentucky or Georgia, they all have six fingers and marry first cousins, I wind my window up if I have to drive through the place, it truly scares me.
