I do feel sorry for the fans who turn up, week-end after week-end. Our injuries continue to dog and haunt the club. Over last few seasons, long absences to key players has caused havoc and has impacted our results, no question. One has to question our training, recovery, treatment process.
Please just let this terrible season end. Hands down the most miserable, depressing, and frustrating season since I started supporting the club as a young lad in the early 90s. For the first time, I’m actually looking forward to pre-season than the end of our season. Overhaul this awful squad, some of these players shouldn’t play for us again.
Certainly not looking like a team that can trouble League One at the moment. The promise of a month or two ago has somewhat dissipated.
Plenty of possession today accompanied by an appalling lack of basic skills and intelligence with most of the crosses providing catching practice for the keeper, add to that atrocious defending for the Hull goals and we looked exactly what we are, the worst team in the division.
Poor game today. Can't really think of anyone that came out of that match with much credit except the young lad El Mizouni. It was a bit of a stroll in the park for a lot of players today. I thought Nsiala played well, he's good at headers and got stuck in, unlike Chambers who was his normal self, backing off, backing off and then no tackle. Dozzell was poor, Edwards was hit and miss, Judge made bad decisions and to be honest, I can't be bothered to pick it apart any more than that.
Jackson up front on his own is never going to work. Deploy him in a two or find an alternative to lead the line.
Can he be effective in a two even? If he’s now injured and misses a game or two surely it’s time to just put him out of his misery. San Diego & fieldmarshall & anyone else who saw today - Is Jackson’s Town career now dead in the water or is there a glimmer of something there?
Are we there yet?It certainly feels like it.Echo the thoughts that there were few positives to be drawn from that.We probably created as many chances as Hull but once again couldn’t convert them and,as ever,we showed our glass jaw. Re Jackson he just doesn’t cut it as a lone striker but Quaner hardly rips up trees. The lack of service is a big part of the problem.
It reminds me of Pitman. I always liked him but we never saw the best of him because he wasn't used correctly. It will be the same with Jackson, I think there is something there to work with but he must play alongside a target man to provide the knock downs to get him through. If it was a choice between him and Harrison, I'd keep Ellis though.
Very interesting interview that Lambert has just given - no longer saying he’s definitely going to be here next season. If ME is going to make a change, it has to be early enough for any new manager to get a good look at the squad for next year. I know he’s record is pretty awful but i think we should stick with him for next season
I really can't see how Jackson can even be considered for starting position but I could say that about quite a few players, I'm afraid the cupboard is bare as far as skillful, intelligent players go but I can accept that if they perform with enthusiasm and 100% commitment to the Club, but we are not getting that.
It might just be disappointment - he sounds like a broken man - or it might be that he’s feeling now that he doesn’t fancy it. If he’s definitely not going to be here next season I don’t see the point of him finishing this, we could be starting that process. If he hasn’t made his mind up I would rather he continues to work on what he has started.
The important objective for you next season is to establish yourselves as a solid L1 club and not get sucked into a relegation battle to drop into L2
