Interesting. Getting Spacey was an achievement by the club....and, from her point of view, an exciting time to join a club that is seriously investing in the women's side for the first time. Although (just like the boy's side) only a few will make it professionally, the girls will benefit from having an interest in something other than the purely frivolous...leading to an increase in confidence and character development. And it will look good on a CV...always good to have something to catch an employer's eye, so they will be more likely to get job interviews.....that won't be high on a youngster's thoughts as their focus will be on football, but helpful to be seen as a team player in the real world.
