    Amazing situation in this League.
A couple of wins and we could be well into the top half of the table and a couple of defeats and we're back in the bottom group.

I remember watching the Rovers beat Donny on a very wild and wooly Friday night back at Belle Vue, a Gary Penrice wind assisted 35 yarder did the business for us that night.

What's the weather forecast for South Yorkshire tonight I wonder ?

Bit of a let down that after recent performances, we must of been on the receiving end of a Donny backlash after their drubbing last Saturday. Dare I say Luton now becomes a ‘sort of’ must win game just so that it keeps us away from the bilge.

Personally I am already resigned to losing on Saturday, even before last nights game. The following 4 games are the important ones for us. We can get something from Coventry. Then 3 six pointers vs Bradford, Wimbledon and Rochdale. I can't see us getting anything from the last 2 games which is Fleetwood and Barnsley. I think 8 or 9 more points will be enough to stay up and 8/9 points from Coventry, Bradford, Wimbledon and Rochdale is a must for me.

Luton have had some quite close games - score wise anyway recently, so we may be able to get some sort of result. But if GC opts to stand toe to toe with them we'll probably get blown away like we were against Donny. Safety first imo, then try to nick a winner.

Yes, which shows that they'll come out on top against more attacking sides.

I think I would much more enjoy my £19.40p better seeing us have a right royal go at them rather than parking the bus, there will still be six more games to go after Saturday.

    Tomorrows fixtures....

    Accrington (17th on 44 points) v Fleetwood
    Blackpool v Plymouth (14th on 46 points)
    Rovers (15th on 45 points) v Luton
    Charlton v Bradford (24th on 36 points)
    Doncaster v Walsall (21st on 42 points)

I predict defeats for Accrington, Rovers, Bradford and Walsall. I think Plymouth will draw or win.

Now on to the 6 pointers.

    Gillingham (12th on 47 points) v Rochdale (22nd on 41 points)
    Oxford (14th on 46 points) v Wycombe (16th on 44 points)
    Scunthorpe (18th on 44 points) v Wimbledon (23rd on 39 points)
    Southend (20th on 42 points) v Shrewsbury (19th on 43 points)

I predict Gillingham and Scunthorpe will win. Oxford/Wycombe and Southend/Shrewsbury will be draws.

I haven't expected much from Donny or Luton. Probably nothing!
But after the turn around in our form recently, l am disappointed that we were tanked. That worries me more than the results. It's all very well being rewarded with the shirt, but it's equally important that the weaker links are diplomatically replaced with a potentially stronger option.
Where are Leads and Rodders? They can be game changers!!

    I was right.

I predicted Gillingham and Scunthorpe will win. Oxford/Wycombe and Southend/Shrewsbury will be draws.

    I got these all wrong.

    1 midweek game.

Accrington vs Sunderland. This is 1 of 2 games in hand that Accrington has on us.

Sunderland will now consider themselves favourite for an automatic slot ahead of The Tykes with their two games in hand and Stanley remain one point behind us with now just one game in hand, it's all hotting up !

If we can stay in this league a return to Portman Road looks on the cards now for next term.

And a return to the Bolton stadium <ok>

I still fancy Barnsley for top 2 over Sunderland. Unfortunately we could need to beat Barnsley at the Mem on the last game of the sseason to stay up while they could be playing for a automatic spot. Our next 4 games are massive.

Let's hope so, I hate dead rubbers and what a game that would be to finish the season off.
