I enjoy the fact he trolls emotional left wingers hard - he's an expert at that. His dealings with N. Korea thus far are a success and if it was a more likable President then he would receive much heavier praise. Instead we have people questioning whether N. Korea was really a problem. Tell that to the South Koreans as they are routinely shelled and fired upon! I don't agree on Trumps opinion on the environment though which are arcane to say the least.
Honestly don't understand how any civilised person could support or validate Trump in any way. His comments about grabbing women, objectifying his own daughter and in support of racist agendas within his own country are as blatant/ shameless as they are unacceptable. He's a throwback to the mid-50's and a poster-boy for entitled white men everywhere. The economy was predicted to improve before he came to power. The wall is ridiculous. The negotiations in North Korea cannot be assessed until years later (window dressing doesn't count, we'll need to see what the actual outcome is) though he certainly doesn't seem to have done worse than his predecessors in fairness. His main skill is he knows how to spin things for his supporters. It really does lower my faith in western humanity that so many people buy into it, he's transparently self-serving and unconvincing and I don't get how anyone fails to see through his tactics. Lets be honest, they're the same as a 6-year-old bully tries to use in a playground.
Who cares about his comments about grabbing woman? People make comments in confidence that are extremely rude - men and woman do. For the moment he has had a positive effect in North Korea - more progress than anyone has for a long time.

Trump will be loved by the nationalists and the more extreme white-supremacists, at the expense of every core value most people would consider to be the standards expected of a decent human being let alone someone holding such a high public office as the President of the United States. They are happy to do that and that's up to them, the rest of us aren't. Simples. There are one or two things particularly with the economy which have worked, but that has also been the case in the short term with many other erroneous regimes who ultimately failed and the wider world considered to be rather distasteful. He's a temporary spike in world crazyness, which comes around every now and again. Hopefully he'll be kicked out of office in 18 months and the world will move on

Good thread Saff. I think Trump has a vision for his people and has done wonders. He’s certainly surpassed anything Barrack Obama achieved, and it looks like he is looking to Israel for inspiration on how to put your own people first, which is always a good strategy. He’s probably a great guy personally as well, I’d like to shake his hand.
