Interesting that you start the post with 'CORRECTIONS' and then your second point is incorrect <rofl>

Please show us where we only paid 5p in the pound, sounds like a cva which wasn't required for us luckily. You must be thinking of our skate friends down the m27?

Didn't bother reading past that tbh.

So, in short, you agree with me.....maybe not about ****-stirring...but that is my opinion. We would have been happy to pay of course, because an agreed and approved contract would have been signed. As for playing this our privately, that is certainly more responsible and kind but once people start throwing accusations in public, they need to be answered. Both clubs are companies that must comply with company law and are obliged to do the best for their shareholders. Quietly accepting liability and sharing costs is not the way forward. That is close to fraud. Someone is fully liable....and that someone should accept responsibility, pay up and claim on any valid insurance.
Be careful about moral judgements....you have to be morally clean before you start chucking the dirty stuff. You claim you did not have a CVA....was that because all creditors were paid in full or because you went into liquidation? Don't answer the last point, I will rely on a good source (Remote) for an accurate response.

    Where have you gone historyrepeating?

I trust you've finished your homework and your dog didn't eat it.

I'm waiting for the next jackanory episode. I do enjoy works of fiction.

Did you know that Jack has a twin brother called Paul. He doesn't work for Nantes either, unlike his older brother Mark, who did. Paul is on loan at Morecambe.

Do you think that Paul going to Morecambe was wise?

Why are Southampton fans sticking their ill informed noses in our business?

Are they afraid that little old Cardiff will stay in the Prem while they go down so are letting off steam early? Or are they just plain old fashioned WUM's who can't get over the fact that we beat them twice this season?

I think it is the latter.

I see Bournemouth are to visit them for a south coast derby at the end of April. I hope the Cherries give them a right royal spanking.

Just read back a bit on this thread. Now I've heard it all - apparently we'd have been happy to pay the £15M if he'd been alive <doh> - what a stupid statement.

It isn't as if the poor guy was unemployed at the time of his death in terms of being an "out of contract free agent". He was either oficiallly a Cardiff player, or if not as now seems the case, still contracted to his then current club Nantes. This is the matter of fact that needs to be established by the authorities.

If he was a Cardiff registered player then the club should take it on the chin, but only then will the club's insurers be liable, otherwise Nantes would need to invoke their own policy. The flight issues, the plane, the pilot and relevant licences, the McKays and the rest of the whipped up peripheral issues are irrelevant at the moment. The first thing that needs to be established is the contractual situation and that will then determine what happens next.

It seems difficult for our visitors to grasp, but once Sala's official "footballing status" at the time of his tragic death is established, it would be up to the liable club to pursue recompense from third parties. Nobody is going to come out of this smelling of roses, but I for one would like to see the parasitic agents and their cohorts get a right shafting.

Sorry for the length of this post but I've been doing some serious DIY today and had to make up for it...........<laugh>

    Good posts Remote and Sparks.

Clearly our sea faring friends had access to all the information in the link on Remote's post to enable them to make an informed decision, even before the enquiry into the plane/pilot circumstances takes place. That being the case why not just employ Libby and HR, never mind the exhorbitant costs of PROPER solicitors. <doh>

Haha when someone has a discussion with something you don't like call them a wum... that's original <doh>

You could just, y'know, actually read the posts and see the difference between wum and people trying to have a debate, I was genuinely interested to see your thoughts and if any of you were.

And doubtful regarding Bournemouth, they're a better team obviously but always seem to bottle it against us, they had their once in a generation chance to send us down last season and blew it. Oh, and you realise it's not a big game for us don't you?

Fwiw I hope you lot stay up.

Oh ffs I never claimed to be a solicitor or an expert on the legal side od things and even clearly stated that I wasn't talking about the legal side.

Wish someone would actually give their opinion and respond properly... It’s almost like you're being all defensive <whistle>
