Hello, team. Hope everyone well. Good, good.

My regular readers may recall, earlier in the month, me getting somewhat over excited about the prospect of TWO SAMS making his handicap hurdling debut off 90. Well imagine how giddy I am, right now, about him running off 85 of the morrow! Now those of you good at Maths will have already worked out that the old boy was dropped 5 lbs by the handicapper for that Wincanton run so he comes into the Hereford race (2.00) on an exceptionally low perch. I still believe that a mark of this type is highly exploitable re a horse who was a winner in the Irish pointing field. Has to be backed each-way tomorrow and hopefully this mark can result in him showing the Wincanton run to be all wrong. It’s worth noting that last time out Two Sams was backed from an early 16/1 into 7’s so if you do like the old boy the best advice is to get on Early with a capital ‘E’. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more…

While on the Blake barn inmates. Coole Cody reportedly sulked (as did those of us who backed him) when taken on for the lead in the ‘Pertemps Final’. As a result he dropped out pretty tamely in the end. The easy, uncontested, lead he was allowed previously, at Sandown Park, certainly didn’t materialise at Cheltenham and the old boy wasn’t impressed by this fact! Hissy fit and all that. The forum’s 143rd favourite horse though, all being well, should be back at Aintree where he has handicap and, dare I say it, Grade 1 options.

    Good luck all.

Must say that those bookie chappies took no chances re Two Sams in opening him at 12/1 last evening. Given that he was running in an 18 runner heat with form figures of -0P05P at first glance that would appear most, most cautious. MarathonBet did this morning push him out to 16’s but that price, almost immediately (8 minutes), contracted back into 12’s.

    2.40 Not The Chablis

Not only the words that Chuckles mutters when people come around for tea (soup obvs) but a racehorse trained by the Alexanders. This horse was impressive in bumpers and yet manages to go handicap hurdling off just 106!

    hi fellas!

here are my first two verdicts for today:

    hereford,2 00:

LAMH AR LAMH is in much better form than most here, and she,at least, can be relied upon to run her race again, off the same mark as last week.big chance here..

    hexham,2 10:

well, theres not much between the main contenders here,as largy prospect won well last time out,but is penalised here, and shaman de berlais had the race at his mercy at catterick, before falling,so both are much respected, but CAPTAIN CJ gets a narrow vote,as the form of his second last start has been well boosted, when he split two useful gigginstown inmates, and both have won again since..

Have been advised that Djebel Rome 4.40pm race at Hexham will go very close. Don't know anything about the horse myself and not having a bet but a mate says it is likely to win. I m not sure who he knows as only just had the info and too busy today to find out but passing it on..:emoticon-0100-smile

Two Sams, unfortunately, looks like he might turn into one of those horses that you back and back and back and then, when you don’t, dots in at 50/1! I will preserve for the time being though…

    hereford,4 00:

a tight, little race, but SAME CIRCUS makes some appeal, despite having to give lumps of weight away here.but that is partly offset by her riders claim, and she has some useful chase form in recent months.the best of that surely her last win, where she beat a good horse of venetia williams, who scored also afterwards.so,should give a good account today..
