Police said the child suffered a wound to her leg while the woman, who was known to the youngster but not related to her, suffered injuries to her back. Witnesses said a fight broke out between a large group of young men and the woman was shot three times. Headline says shooting but don't be so fast to jump to the obvious conclusion that it was our BEM cousins. This is a particularly pikey part of Sarf London and there have been rapes and muggings around these parts for ages. Often our East European neighbours are responsible but I am sure the deets will emerge as the investigation continues.
A newsagent was stabbed to death during a burglary at his shop on Sunday following another weekend of bloodshed in London. The 54-year-old father-of-one was attacked as he opened the shop in Pinner, north west London, shortly before 6am. Police and paramedics were called to the scene but he was pronounced dead 45 minutes later. It was the second robbery at the shop within six months. The senseless murder came barely 36 hours after a 17-year-old was killed in Isleworth, west London, as the knife crime epidemic showed no sign of abating.
