Backing good old Tommy Stack from April to May always made you a few quid, ****e in the summer though!Son has taken over but he's like his old man in the summer all year round!!!
Ger Lyons started last years flat season very well...might be worth having a look at his tomorrow I like Zander
Jim Bolger is usually worth keeping an eye on at start of flat season in Ireland usually starts strongly. Also anything with Colin Keane on has to be noted. Very good young jockey in defence of his crown
Sod this flat makarkey lads. There's the Ulster National at Downpatrick. The outsider of the field for me Kings Song each way @ 20/1.
Morning 2.45 Downpatrick-Count Simon @ 13-8 [Boylesports] Gordon Elliott rarely leaves this track without a winner or two
Interesting winner in the first flat race of the season at Naas. Michael O'Callaghan's Red Epaulette, steady drifter out to around 6.4 on Betfair before plunging in the last 90 seconds to start around 4.2 fav, ran out a convincing winner.
You have to wonder what he is playing at? Unless they couldn't find anyone else? Better to give a young lad a chance than have Ruby ride him, surely? Owner and Trainer's prerogative I suppose
hi lads! wish you a nice sunday!! here are my first two verdicts for today, both over the jumps: downpatrick,2 15 not the strongest race to begin with, but i think,SEEYOUINVINNIES can go well here.he showed some ability last time out in 5th,and the form looks solid enough,as the 1st, 2 and 4th have all scored again since.so,with that run under his belt, shouldnt be far away. carlisle,2 25: another race, where the three market leaders should have it to themselves, barring accidents, and both captain zebo(who is in the form of his life at present),and bartys diliemma(very much the dark horse here),are much respected, but i think, they both have a bit to do,to give the weight away to POGUE,who ran a good rival close last time out,and can go one better today..
Looks like an interesting filly and mare race at 340 at Naas. Delphinia should progress from last year so I'll be siding with her. Good luck everyone.
exeter,3 15: not too many in reasonable form here, but EBONY GALE can get back on track,if in better form than last time.time before,he was a good winner of a similar contest, and then only going down to a rejuvenated cliffs of dover, who is very useful himself.so,if all is well today, has a solid e w shout,at the very least..
downpatrick,3 50: ULSTER NATIONAL UNDRESSED looks more than risky on current form,as he seems to have lost the plot completely, but hes at least on a very attractive mark now,and has stamina in abundance,so hopes rest on willie mullins,to rekindle his enthusiasm.surely not dismissed..
