Rude, not really, but as we get older there are fewer things that stir the anticipation. You always remember your first, right? Well, that's this meeting! As I've come to racing relatively late in life, Chester still has that spark of excitement. ( Silly I know, but everyone needs something, given what's going on in the world right now.)
fair enough, but got to say since the chester executive have taken over Bangor on Dee , they seem intent on making it chester mk 2 , big shame since they are very different places with totally different clientele..... The on course bookmaker is appalling , which they own , it’s replaced the tote outlets which we all knew were fair with a lame rip off , sure you don’t have to patronise them , but they seem to attract the casual racegoer , bit like drinking carling .........
Dartford Warbler seems quite strong in the betting this morning. Maybe he is the turd who will float to the top of the sea of sh*te in the 4.20 I checked the Bumper out and noticed Cheddleton cost 60,000 Euros, which seems a lot of money considering that the Fav's career earnings to date is 549 quid. Jennie Candlish is 0-40 in Bumpers the past five seasons though. 20p on Cheddleton at 9/1 in the suggested bet.
Who’s going to the Cheltenham April meeting? I can’t wait only four weeks. I think we should have a 606 meet up.
I know its not in the UK but I once went to the local trotting track here in Berlin Karlshorst and they were running camel races. All well and good but you couldn't have a bet (some legal technicality means that the only animals you are allowed to bet on in Germany is horses). Anyway, I picked one out in the first race (looked much fitter and leaner than the others) and he pissed it by about 8 lengths but with no money down I didn't see the point so had a couple of beers, a Bratwurst and then went home again.
hi fellas! haydock,3 15: a tricky race,as all four can be given chances here, but a narrow vote goes to WHOSHOTWHO,who has easily the most experience of these, and has run in some tough races recently,so he looks quite a solid option to me..
haydock,3 50: a good chance, that this will be fought out by the two unexposed ones,ECEPARTI and ettila de sivola.both has shown more than enough ability so far,and their respective marks look fair enough, but a slight advantage goes to the former, whose last run looks a bit stronger form, and if this doesnt come too soon for him,has a decent shout today.
sorry guys , did a small ew but didn’t actually think it would win today ! Onurbike 50/1 lingfield, this horse loves heavy ground , been pulled up last twice but they’ve booked proper jockey today , may be nothing , but he has form that would make this price silly , ive gone sporting ew , pricehas come into 40/1 , 2 45 ling
i pasted it from the 18th feb thread , just not very well , it should have been in a box , separate from today’s , wasn’t strong on it , but thought it might place at a price ....... in hindsight .......looking at its towecester runs , i got that wrong , trainers first winner for 5/6 years !!
