They've averaged 52.584 so far this season, with all games effectively away games, they shouldn't be far off filling it at home every week.

Capped capacity for Premier League home games at 51,000.

Brent Council agreed a capped capacity for five domestic fixtures of 62,000, while any additional home Champions League ties could hold the full 90,000.

"What is Spurs’ lowest attendance at Wembley during the 2018-2019 season?

It was the 29,164 crowd that saw them beat Watford 2-1 on 30 January, 2019. Before that, it was the 33,012 crowd for the Spurs v Southampton midweek game on 5 December, 2018. The third, fourth and fifth lowest crowds were 41,219 for Spurs vs Newcastle on February 2, 41,645 for Spurs v Burnley on 15 December, 2018 and 43,268 for Spurs v Cardiff on 6 October, 2018. Interestingly enough, the Cardiff one came just days after their highest crowd of 82,137 v Barcelona on October 3."

Spurs are not on their way to Wembley.

You’re forgetting Norwich has the extra allure of not one but two cathedral’s.

Why would they restrict capacity to 51k? Is it to do with costs the council can't afford? Surely the more people at games = more money spent on local businesses in the area?

51,000 is the bottom two tiers, there's about 40,000 in the top tier, which they wouldn't fill and it costs a fortune to man it.

So of the big London clubs thats Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs with new grounds. It leaves Chelsea lagging behind but they are planning similar redevelopment with a spell at Wembley whilst they do it.

I thought Abramovich wasn't interested in putting in any more money now ?

The first actual game to be played at the new White Hart Lane, will be an U18's game on Sunday.

Any development of Stamford Bridge is currently on hold - costs were in excess of 1bn. Abramovic not interested

Cathedrals. Not every word ending with an s requires an apostrophe.

Mrs Barchullona shouts "I'm having contractions" So he hands her a bag of apostrophes. "No stupid, they're just so possessive" she cried.

It's a shame the title of this thread was mispunctuated.

A major problem with Stamford Bridge redevelopment is that a rail line and part of Brompton cemetery is behind the East Stand. I can't imagine the families of those in the cemetery will want their relatives moving.

Not without precedent to move a cemetery...
Remains are easy but costly to move like in hull near the road expansion on the marina.
In Brompton several monuments are grade 2 & 1 listed
