Why should they fly an Irish flag anyway? Do they fly the English flag in Ireland on St George's Day? One person commented they guessed the councillors didn't get the complexities of the United Kingdom. I guess that person doesn't have any idea at all about the United Kingdom.
The guy I work with is the Mascot pirate guy !! He was talking to the owners who reckon they have plenty of sponsorship lined up to compete again in the Elite league .. It just needs the new Ice Arena building !

It needs a new ice arena building with enough seats according to the Pirates coach when he was interviewed on Sportstalk. Part of his remit was to get enough bums on seats to make the council decide to instal enough seats to make a move up the leagues feasible. He is hopeful but it isn't guaranteed.
Would we see scenes like these if the new Arena was able to accommodate basketball? I would be happy to see see support like that at City.
That kind of passion doesn't exist here mate we are a lot more reserved .. I'm sure that if we had the kind of conducted support here people would not be happy with it. The Ice Hockey support in Sweden is really good by the looks of it ..
Some people would certainly not be happy They paid for a seat, everyone should sit down...Their unclecan't stand up...People will die of fumes or be burnt to death... (though it has never happened there). ARIS fans aren't conducted. They just join in with their song. I used to work with an Italian who worked in Thessaloniki. He had thought the atmosphere at Napoli was something else but couldn't believe what it was like at ARIS and PAOK football matches in stadiums that only hold 26,000.
More importantly, it sounds great. Must be better playing front of 25,000 of them than 25,000 of the sit down, shut up brigade there to see the stars of the other team more than their own.
I think the supporter culture is abit different in general.
