No offence, but how do you know its not a game of human chess? if anyone can make a lot of underlings do as she pleases, its got to be the queen..... And to join in the weekend debate...i agree with Balkan, Bish cant do the Queen... he would be right next to her and next move Queen would give it to him good and proper. Good job its not the Australian Bishop, he wouldnt be allowed to go near any of the pawns....
I realised that, as both were on black, the Bishop needed to be on the next white square, but it was close enough I think.
I wasn't in any way being serious. I enjoyed the whole sequence. That picture has been posted all over the place with the 'if only the bishop was a knight' thing. I bet it's only us that started to have such arguments about it though! Or used it to (s)pawn such dreadful puns.
Penalty for being convicted of being a "pothead" ? Wouldn't happen today with all this new liberal legislation. Obv. not Dutch as it's legal there ? please log in to view this image
This pigeon coup will end in tears A mere 43 years after Giuseppe Savoldi became the first £1million footballer — pre-dating Trevor Francis by moving from Bologna to Napoli for the equivalent of £1.2m — Armando, of Ingelmunster in Belgium, has become the world’s first £1m pigeon. He was sold by his manager Joel Verschoot to an elite group of enthusiasts in China with the name Champ Team. They consistently topped the bidding at auction ahead of rivals XDDPO. One problem. Armando, now rated the top pigeon in Europe after two years of supremacy nationally, will be six next birthday and close to retirement age. Might Champ Team have been better served investing their money in a younger bird with several more years in competition. It is not as if they can get the money back in merchandise, either. There really isn’t much in the replica shirt market for pigeon fanciers. And so dubious is competitive racing in China that two owners were recently jailed for three years for smuggling pigeons on to a bullet train to win a 466-mile race. How will Armando react to such a hostile environment? He might not like the food, he doesn’t speak the language, and it would appear he’s only gone for that last big pay-off — it’s a transfer request waiting to happen. please log in to view this image +8 Armando, of Ingelmunster in Belgium, has become the world’s first £1million pigeon
Why does the segment from 4:15 to 7:25 of this you tube video seem particularly interesting? Why is it more captivating than all of the rest? The cows in all of the individual clips seem very alike and respond in the same manner. Man it's a mystery to me.
When I lived up north of the border I kept some highland cattle and horses. One thing I found out working with them and the local vet agreed with me, that cows are more intelligent than horses. However this one below was the most difficult, and I think you can see it is her facial expression.
