Shame we're not playing Brighton this weekend! ET doesn't really do anything for us given the break they'll have after anyway. The comeback will do their confidence some good though.
Do you get a fourth substitution in ET? Brighton used all theirs in normal time and Murray is still on the pitch. I suppose the longer he's on, the higher chance he picks up an injury.
Brighton will be thinking about Wembley now. Not really our issue, we just need to grab some points when we visit. I am amazed with their subs who all had a big impact.
Dunno what's better; The fact that the Brighton players will now be distracted by the semi, or that there will be hundreds of homophobic twats in south London going ape-**** right now.
Would be fascinating to have a Brighton v Watford final. The eventual winners will come from the Watford v Wolves semi. As for Brighton, there is every chance they will knock out CIty. How many times did we see Liverpool at the height of their powers, lose a semi to some toe-rag team from the bottom end of the then First División and lose? Remember Palace v Liverpool in 1990?
Are you a (BBC pundit, name any) in disguise. Reckon we all think City will do it ... but! I'm backing Wolves. Good team; good manager; realy turn up against big clubs
City could be a team to fall between several stools in the remaining competitons. It happened frequently to Leeds United when they had a brilliant team in another lifetime;
I am keeping a close watch on the Championship bearing in mind who PFC could face next season, and it looks quite daunting to be honest. I have been keeping a watch on Preston who have been quietly climbing the table and now lie one place and one point outside the play-offs,. Over 17,000 there yesterday which is a very good attendance for them Would love that club to surge past the more fancied runners like WBA and Villa, and win the play-offs.
I think Watford will 'surprise' Wolves and reach the final, they're also a very good side who will have the added experience of having been there before.
David Ospina suffered a head injury, was left on the pitch, and then collapsed. If football doesn't start taking head injuries seriously, there will be deaths.
I thought refs were supposed to stop play in the PL when someone goes down with a head injury? And yet I’ve seen play go on around players that have gone down holding their heads many times this season just at St.Marys!
Stopping play is one thing. Players with possible concussions need to come out of the game, full stop; it isn't something that'll heal after a few minutes. If that requires some changes to the sub rules, so be it.
I would not have a problem with a temporary sub while a concussion protocol is followed with the person with the injury. Head injuries have to be treated with more respect. They can be lethal.
Yeah, that's about what I'd want to see, as well. Temp sub while they're evaluated by an independent doctor.
