"Marie Provost did not look her best The day the cops bust into her lonely nest In the cheap hotel up On Hollywood West July 29 She'd been lyin' there For two or three weeks The neighbors said They never heard a squeak For hungry eyes that could not speak Said even little doggies have got to eat She was winner That became the doggie's dinner She never meant that much to me (But now I see) Oh poor Marie"
With the money from her accident She bought herself a mobile home So at least she could get some enjoyment Out of being alone No one could say that she was left up on the shelf It's you and me against the World kid she mumbled to herself Love a bit of Billy
Dick Dale has died . RIP the king of the surf guitar and player of that wonderful opening to one of my favourite films of all time ....
43 years ago today (19 March 1976) we lost one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Paul “Koss” Kossoff died of heart failure on a flight from LA to New York. It was probably brought on by heavy drug use which had led to him being replaced in the band “Free”. He left behind a great legacy, including this song which was written for him and his drug use by his mates, the other members of Free. RIP Koss
After the massive show of public support for a people's vote today and Farage's pitiful alternative march to leave it has to be this song tonight...
Today reminded me of this song from legendary Irish folk-rocker Jonathan Kelly. As the song says: “One man may not be right, but can all of these be wrong?”

This has passed my by until now... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-47751801 Up and coming Indie duo, Her's from Liverpool were both tragically killed on Wednesday in a road accident along with their Manager and the driver of another vehicle (which was apparently driving the wrong way). Can't say that I am familiar with their work but on first listen it sounds like the sort of stuff I like, melodic with jangly guitars. The title of this one seems appropriate... R.I.P. to all involved...
