I recall a clip someone sent me of another incident. It was along with a load of other stuff, that was funny, so it took me by surprise. I remember just sitting in shock.

It left me wondering how I'd react if I was actually there. I hope I never get to find out.

I did out of part curiosity and part what BRB said on another thread about trying to understand the psyche and what drives people towards making the leap to terrorism. The fact it's 74 pages may have put ppl off.

 

My take on that and i haven't seen any of this btw. I've no problem with people clicking on his 'so called' manifesto, for explorative purposes of understanding the 'psche.' - where i draw the line is clicking on a live stream or video where you know there is going to be grotesque violence or killing for the sake of ideology or for the sake of any reason tbph.

I like to explore the mind, not the events they have commited.

 

I haven't looked at the manifesto, as I saw no point. Even if I agreed with anything he put, there is zero justification for the actions he took and I doubt if it'd show much of how he ended up that way.

It certainly needs a good look into what led him there, and who he'd been associated with on the way.

 

I can't explain it. I'll watch videos like this. I don't get disturbed by it. I'm disturbed by his actions but not the watching people die, bit.

Nutters like this guy are usually angry at the world in general. Life hasn’t worked out the way they wanted it to, for one reason or another. Life hasn’t provided them with what they believe they deserve.

In that sort of mind somebody has to be to blame for that.

 

Nah fck that I wasn't looking to agree with him. Yeh I don't know about the how, but it does show what (in his tiny little mind) drove him to it, in some detail tbf.

Re what led him there, reading that manifesto it seems like he's happy to talk about himself as much as possible but they won't get much out of him about anyone else. It'll need outside intelligence imo.

 

I agree.

I guess there's a whole bundle of factors that combine to make someone take the extreme step he did, quite high up there is media coverage. Not just the press, but hollywood and tv too, and not just in why he felt belittled, for the want of a word, but also how that led to his actions.
