Sometimes you just don't get the breaks today being one. Complete opposite of the away game maybe we didn't really deserve the win. Lots of twists left yet, not quite time for slitting your wrists yet chaps.
What pi**** me off,if Norwich & sheff Utd get promoted, both will more than likely come straight back down the following season.Leeds out of the three with Bielsa and one or two good sighnings, would contribute positively to the League, and more than hold their own.Still it's not over yet, their is still hope, but the fine margins won't allow for any more cock ups as against QPR,and also it now looks as though we will have to do it purely on points,as we have the most inferior goal difference. LEEDS JUST REFUSE TO DO IT THE EASY WAY
Mate if Norwich and Sheffield United get autos it's because over the course of 46 games they will have deserved it. As for 'they would contribute less than Leeds to the PL' that's irrelevant. Probably half the clubs in the championship could argue that they'd contribute more than the likes of Watford, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Fulham etc. but that's not how it works. I get it's been a bad day but one point from autos with eight games left is not the end of the world. If we don't achieve promotion this season though lets just accept we weren't quite good enough, instead of pointing the 'you're not worthy finger' at Norwich and Sheffield United.
According to the opiinion of one of our posters on this thread Roberts, Harrison, Klic,Douglas, Dallas are all poor Cooper is a liability and we are short of class and strength. It makes you wonder why we are not facing relegation.
I’ve been reading this crap on various forums for a while now, neither Sheff or Norwich are gonna blink in the run in. Both teams are more consistent than us. Sheff have lost just one of their last fifteen games and haven’t conceded in their last seven yet we go to a **** QPR and gift them the game. It’s tough for us to get autos now.
This may not be the best moment to say this, but...... based on current form, we have the worst run in. (By current form I mean last 8 games). To position it for you, so far this season the average points per game has been 1.35, and excluding us the rest of the division has averaged 1.32 points a game. But current form of opponents to end of season for top 3 teams is: Leeds. 1.39 (worse than average, thanks to Preston 2.59, Wednesday 2.0, Villa 1.75) Sheffield U. 1.25 (better than average) Norwich 1.17 (much better than average) If all 3 teams were exactly the same in performance, the current form would say Norwich would go up as champions, 8 points ahead of us. Sadly it would say Sheffield U would be second, 2 points ahead of us. Still it’s only stats and the theoretical gap to second place is only 2 points, so it’s hopefully no more accurate a prediction than an opinion poll a week before an election.
Yes the QPR game is going to haunt us. If Norwich and Sheffield get Autos it will be because they deserved it and we ****** it up. So that leaves us in the play-off's, and to be truthful we will proberbly **** that up as well. Just being honest and realistic.
