The question by Yorkshire was why didn't the EU climb down at the last minute. The answer is because the Commons climbed down first (mostly Labour MP's who couldn't hold their nerve)
Would you have preferred that we leave on 29th March with no deal? Never mind the bullshit about No Deal being a bargaining chip with the EU. It wasn't, it was a threat to MPs.
It's strange because when I was there, Spring mid 1990's, the stream running through and all the cherry trees out, it seemed the most peaceful of places. The NZ govt needs to get a handle on it, though it's ominous that at least one of the terrorists flew in from overseas.
Yeah revoke it get rid of all the crap MP's and then walk away from the EU. I would have preferred to just walk on 29th March. Even with all the project fears stories, nothing would really happen. So much is in place now and ready to go. Remember the flowers from Holland story? well an agreement is in place that means just in time deliveries will be fine. just need to order 1 hour earlier. We were told no medicines/planes wouldn't fly/no food.... it's all sorted. Secondly, I would have accepted a short delay but we all know it will be a long one to kill off Brexit. I keep saying whatever way you voted, you should never want our democracy ruined.
How could they possibly move on the backstop? A time limit? Unilateral withdrawal? Then it's not a backstop is it? I don't get what is so bad about the WA from a Brexiteer's point of view.
The worming tablets are working Seems like a final act to the play to me Great finale if they knobble Farage at the same time ... Ellers however do you honestly think that if this did happen they would allow Brexit again ? People have been made to be sick of it It would put the nationalists back in their box and I believe there wouldn’t be anywhere near the protest vote ever again Anyone see it yet? No deal will never happen The EU has the power the force the U.K. to revoke the entire thing and also put the blame onto Farage ... May was always a straw man anyway Most knew she was never PM material Time they have got Labour involved also there will be no blame game no sustained outrage and forgotten in 3 months
Time limit on the backstop, because no sovereign govt should bind itself in perpetuity I've said I'd go with May's WA now because the EU's obligations to move a free trade agreement forward are clear and we can leave if the EU acts with bad faith
Totally agree. Farage said he was out there and they were crapping themselves... until our weak remain MP's sold our country out. What was hideous to watch was those MP's cheering after our bargening chip was taken off the table. Posters on here celebrated the fact that this country's hand was weakened? beyond belief. I was out in France on Nov11 to commemorate a 100 years since the First World War. I sat listening to recordings of the soldiers saying they were fighting for democracy so our country could be free from bullies. If those brave soldiers were here today they would be disgusted. I don't know how any of our MP's or the betrayers would ever be able to look them in the eye. It really was sad watching our great country capitulate because of 500 ****s
Then why do the loonies keep voting it down? Can't you see my point? The blame for this fiasco lies wholly within the Tory party.
They believed no deal was better than a bad deal. Now that no deal has gone, they have to look at the WA again. It's not great, because it gives pretty much all are bargaining position away before we start on the FTA including £39bn. But it's really the only game in town so I hope we go for it and move on.
Brexit means Brexit! No deal is better than a bad deal. For ****ety ****ing ****'s sake! What a bunch of Tory ****s. Don't anyone dare blame anybody else.
Even funnier are the ‘keyboard warriors’ who say there will be civil disorder on the streets ‘cos the British people won’t take the betrayal .......can’t see it myself, they’ll miss a weeks worth of Corrie
So News today is that Ford are going to axe 5000 jobs in Germany and some in the UK... mmm... funny only 2 weeks ago car job losses were blamed on Brexit by some on here...You can't have it both ways... Do you want to come back and discuss this? (I wish I had a ssssshh emoji) Ford to slash thousands of jobs in Europe as CEO’s pay rises https://www.ft.com/content/6aef86bc-473f-11e9-b168-96a37d002cd3
