Anyone ever had any ****ed up dreams? I've not long woken up after having a bizarre dream about cocaine. Basically I was in a pub and arguing with the staff as they were refusing to serve me any non alcoholic drink including water saying things like 'man up you pussy' etc. So I thought '**** you lot then I'll go sniff some class a in your toilet' (as obviously I just happened to have like a golf ball on me). So I go into the toilet and wipe down the toilet roll holder and racked up a fatty. But as I went to sniff it it seemed to dissolve, so I cleaned the surface and racked up another but the same thing happened again. I did this another 4 or 5 times before losing the plot and beginning to smash the toilet up and then waking up. Now I could really do with some cocaine tbh. I used to have a recurring dream for years as a kid too, anyone had/have one of those?
I had this dream a lot (during my first couple of years of sobriety), where someone offered me a mirror with a fat line on it, but as I leant forward with rolled up note in hand, they pulled the mirror away. Another recurring dream was finding myself surrounded by empty cans and thinking “oh ****, I didn’t mean to do that”. At which point I would wake up and take a minute or two to realise, with relief, that it was only a dream.
Used to have nightmares about Jack Frost when I was a nipper. We used to live in a council house with no central heating and my old dear tucking me into bed would say 'I'm going to tuck you in tight otherwise Jack Frost will nip your toes' I used to dream that Jack Frost was this big green dragon thing with two guards either side, wearing white T-shirts and green trousers both holding tridents. He'd appear on the stairs in my old house and I'd be trying to scream 'Mum!' and nothing would come out. Freaky deaky ****. Remember it like it was yesterday.
I had a dream where I was helping an armed force fight a giant version of Big Bird from Sesame Street.
Remember the scene in Wolf Of Wall Street where he's recounting the night of the lamborghini. Basically you but without the lambo
Plenty. I find if I watch something really violent or read something really violent or awful I tend to have a weird dream. I've had a few that were so real! I had one where I was convinced there was someone leaning over me whilst in bed with a knife trying to kill me and I was fighting him for my life. It was ****ing terrifying and when I woke up it took me a while to convince myself it wasn't real. Changed my habits before bed now!
I've had some mad dreams...tell you some crazy ****. I believe in dreams having meanings and links to the past, future, other realms. There was a stage in my life when I used to be what I would regard as spiritual. Tapped into myself...cut out all the devilish ****...purified my ways and the dreams were pure mad from good to evil ones with plenty of sleep paralysis thrown in for very good measure.
My son went through a spell of having horrendous night terrors. They started happening occasionally and then he had them every night for several months. About an hour or two after he'd fallen asleep he'd either by lying in bed screaming or have made his way downstairs in a panic. He was inconsolable and convinced that he could see something or someone that was trying to hurt him. I'd have to physically restrain him to calm him down and gradually wake him up. He'd have no recollection of it the next day. At the start when we thought it was just an occasional occurrence he went to stay at a friend's house and we got a call at 1am as the mum thought he was having an asthma attack as he was so panicky. The missus explained what to do to calm him down and went round to pick him up. Because he was prone to wandering around in a state he's had to miss school trips and stuff because no one wanted to be responsible for something happening to him. Fingers crossed he hasn't had an episode for a few months.
