Now the Champions league gets interesting, well from the last 16 really. However, it starts to heat up now.

Before the draw who do you think has the best chance?

    * Scrap Bayern and Lyon off the list ;)

Imagine all English semi finals! Personally, I think this might well be Barca's year.

Remembering that the Premiership attracts more in revenues than the other 3 big leagues combined it is difficult to think of the possibility of an all English final as being good for football. As far as I know there is no seeding left for the quarter final stage so the chances of an all Premiership quarter final are very high. Of the English clubs Man. City have the biggest chance because they really need to 'come of age' in Europe. Liverpool's priority would probably be the league title - and I do not think their squad is big enough to go for both. Solksjaer would love to win something to cement his wishes to stay at the club but the FA Cup is a more realistic possibility. I see Barcelona as the favourites, though I have a funny feeling about Juventus. Ajax have the youngest team - all dreaming of resurrecting old glories, and with a fantastic team spirit, and, by far. the loudest fans. The heart says Ajax but the brain doesn't - if they did it would be a triumph for football against big money. So, for me, the favourites are Barcelona, Man. City and Juventus in that order.

There could be some interesting ties coming up - Pep going back to Barcelona ? Or an Ajax-Spurs tie, which the fans of both clubs would relish, given the friendship which exists there.

Of course Liverpool beat Man City last year so there would be some history.

Be nice to see a different winner!

I feel its about time Klopp won something and you feel Man City ought to really be making their mark on the competition.

  5. Personally hope they all get knocked out and it's a Juve Ajax final.

I don't want Ronaldo winning it again, so apart from Juve not being in the final, I don't have any particular preferences.

    Liverpool v Porto
    Barca v Man U
    Spurs v Man City
    Ajax v Juventus

Fancy Man C, Liverpool, Barca and Juventus to get through.

I would say that's a realistic assessment Mark. Unfortunately a combination of 10,000 Ajax away fans and the Italian police looks like an accident waiting to happen <doh>

The United v Barcelona first leg has been switched to Old Trafford, because 2 sides from the same city cannot play home legs in the same week.

Probably makes it even harder as Barca will probably take a draw at OT then dominate at the Nou Camp - bit like they did against Lyon.

They aren't PSG in terms of collapsing.

    Quarter-finals
Ajax v Juventus (April 10 at Johan Cruijff Arena, April 16 at Allianz Stadium)
Liverpool v Porto (April 9 at Anfield, April 17 at Estadio do Dragao)
Tottenham v Manchester City (April 9 at Spurs' stadium, April 17 at Etihad)
Barcelona v Manchester United (April 10 at Old Trafford, April 16 at Nou Camp)
    Semi-finals
    Tottenham/Manchester City v Ajax/Juventus
    Barcelona/Manchester United v Liverpool/Porto

I can see a City v Barca final!!
