I see Ireland's Young Player of the Year () Declan Rice got in the squad. Ward-Prowse deserved a call up.
To be fair, Sancho was also in the previous couple of squads too and did play, he has 3 caps. I agree though, for me he might be a starter for England.
Average age of that squad: 24. That's pretty good looking forward. No outfield players over 30, and only one of the keepers is over that age. Breakdown: GK avg. - 27yo DEF avg. - 25yo MID avg. - 24yo ATT avg. - 23yo Youngest player - Sancho (18yo) Oldest player - Heaton (32yo) Oldest outfield player - Delph (29yo) Before anyone asks, yes, I am very sad and have way too much free time.
Bragg on the left, with MacColl playing like a headless chicken. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine
If it was picked on form I think Smalling should have had a recall, appreciate he has had lots of chances and I know Southgate has criticised his distribution. But think on form he is better than Keane and Tarkowski
I think Messi and Suarez were happy to see the Champions League draw today, given they will be probably be up against one of either him or Jones. He's not terrible but I like the way Southgate looks to the future, also Dier can slot in at the back.
James Ward-Prowse was drafted into England's squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro as Fabian Delph, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and John Stones pulled out due to injury on Monday. Callum Hudson Odoi was also drafted into the England senior squad from U21s, after Luke Shaw pulled out of the England squad because of injury.
i hear billy bragg and kirsty maccoll (despite her ultra-northern name*) are in the new england squad. * only the second england player this century with a scotch name, the last being stephen macmanamana manamanamanaman.
With Hudson-Odoi being called up to the full squad wonder if the U21s will call up another winger to replace him?! Jarrod got any chance?
