Great ride on Toppy there from Harry Cobden, nice to have a winner in the bag early in the day

Some race that, it really lived up to the billing. Three serious horses there, wouldn't surprise me if we saw those them fight out the finish of next years gold cup if they all stay sound.

Hoping for some more Rachel Blackmore magic in the next. Dancing On My Own has some very solid form in defeat so far and think he has been let in lightly.

Strange late money coming for Apple's Shakira. Couldn't back her with stolen money.

looking a bit further ahead to the champion chase:

well, hard to see altior get beaten, but i think,POLITOLOGUE is a more than viable e w alternative.his main asset is,that hes a strong traveller, and, even more important,a very good jumper,so that will stand him in good stead here today.was a good way behind the favourite in this last year, but i like him a lot,and i think,he ll run a very good race..

You'll never find the winner with any confidence but it's always a great race to watch, and didn't let us down again... Go one Nico/Hendo...

I had Brio Conti in my L15 and was calling him the winner coming off the bend until I saw Patrick cruising on Wicklow Brave. Tough race for a young horse like Brio Conti, Must remember to look at the more experienced ones next year (like Brio Conti again <laugh>)

I was one of the fools who backed Apple's Shakira ... 14-1 5th for my ew shilling :) I too backed Brio for the win so maybe next year, why not?

No bet next - just a watch and try to remember a scintillating win for Altior.

And if that's not enough to put the mockers on him, nothing will
