I’d not be sure whether that was a brilliant horse getting conditions and track to suit or just a bad Arkle but it leaves a strong impression for the future.
Jesus the English are taking one hell of a beating here, BVD and Altior the only good horses in the country.
I was surprised the ITV team largely ignored the alarming drift on Lalor, still tipping him up. He was never involved and time for Richard Johnson to accept that the horse doesn't go on soft. Glen Forsa departed disappointingly early and I was surprised to see Hardline so short at this trip. Winner hosed up and it's a Mullins benefit at this stage.
lalor won a bumper on heavy with ease , and his Aintree win when destroying all the best hurdlers was on soft .....
Keep your nerve, keep your nerve, keep your nerve ... Wait - cash out? No, no, no ,no, no! Keep your nerve!
The english will win the championship races and the irish will clean up everything else, seen this story before
ULTIMA CHASE well, its the first handicap now,and its fiercely competitive.one horse, that i have a lot of sympathy for is MINELLA ROCCO,who had his fair share of problems over the years, but i still believe, the fire is still in the belly, and maybe, its a blessing in disguise, that he hasnt had that many hard races in his career.his gold cup second is there for all to see,so he has lots of ability,it just needs to click all on the day.so,hes a definite e w contender for me..
I'll chance an each way on my Grand National horse Lake View Lad in the Ultima. He's less well handicapped now but on the up and handles the ground. 6 places and 25/1 are tempting enough.
