So, so pleased for the Academy lads especially Josh, who had been written off by many and it goes to show that we shouldn't make rash judgements about on loan players in a lower division. His introduction changed the match and I was impressed with his bravery in possession, he deserves another chance soon as does Stuey. I'm getting ****ing wasted tonight GET IN!!!!....
Just back in the car and I can't move. Not traffic, just thought I shouldn't drive while tachycardic. So many times football destroys a perfectly good afternoon or evening. Just rung the missus and told her she can have anything she wants. So I'm expecting to find the locks changed when I get home.
Game of two halves you'll hear it on MOTD later. I'm 'kin knackered after that time for a celebratory glass.
Pundit on Sky said they should have had 2 reds and it was a good thing we won or we'd have had real cause for complaint.
The second half was never go to be as bad as the first, but when we let those few really good chances go, I thought that would be it. They'd get a soft pen and just kill the game dead. But the more we came on to them, the more they sat back, then we started getting to all the 50/50's first and Kevin couldn't influence things as much as he'd like. Well done Yan, but take a bow JWP, that was pure class!
I don’t think it was that we were writing Sims off. It was more that people were somewhat criticizing Hasenhuttl and demanding that he, Obafemi, and others play. There were claims that he was not giving the young players a chance. But that wasn’t the case. Ralph has been giving opportunities to the young players since he has been here. I was never averse to playing Sims , I simply put my trust in Hasenhuttl. Sims had a great game today. But he also had fresh legs at a time when Tottenham was tiring and that helped him take advantage of his speed. It was just a good job managing by Hasenhuttl today, not just with Sims and other subs but everything. If Sims starts this next game based on his performance today, I won’t complain. But if he is a second half sub again, or never gets into the game at all, I also won’t complain. I just trust Hasenhuttl to use players to his and their best advantage. He will have to, if we want to stay up.
Is the problem a lack of quality refereeing in the leagues below or the performance review system? I can't understand why Kevin Friend is allowed to referee in the Premier League.
