Yes, my cat, repeat cat, particularly likes the Saturday evening thrillers on BBC4, the current one 'Trapped' being no exception. She does get a bit cold though watching these Icelandic thriller episodes. Honest, I kid you not.
Great start to the follow up to Deutschland 83, especially the fairly naive wee lassie (Annett Schneider played by Sonja Gerhardt) who has now turned into a lipsticked and seductively attired, albeit East German, party Apparatchik. Great stuff for a Friday evening. I will also be 'catching up' with last night's Letzte Spur Berlin fearturing the sometime Udo Lindenberg guest singer Josephin Busch. Ms Busch is, I suspect, extremely fragrant!

Did you really care about the racing when you when you were suffering and tucked up in bed Florida? Feeling ****ty is the pits mate, so health must come first. And if it's going to be pissing down rain and 50 degrees, I'd be giving it the big swerve. But of course you could find it enjoyable paying for travel, lodgings, course entry prices and their rip off rates for anything to eat and drink, losses on the punt and another month on your back suffering from the dreaded lurgy. Some really enjoy feeling green and miserable.
Cyc I normally do the best part of a grand. Having already paid for tickets for three days I’m down but by not going I’ll be up, if you see what I mean.and I not a big punter. I normally limit myself to two hundred a day spending money but that doesn’t go far at Cheltenham. It’ll soon be April and I’ll go then when the weathers better.

You can join me , on the sofa , best view of the action , ok not the craic , but not the drunken trolls , queues for everything , getting cold/wet , it’s a trade off , but i’m sure you’ll be selecting with a more detached eye . Yeah my cousin will pass them on they won’t get wasted.last year the charitable chap I am, I had a spare some tout was annoying me about ticket. I asked how much, he said a tenner,I told him to f€icky off I’d rather give it away, which I duly did to someone in the queue pay at the gate. Made his and my day even though I was forty quid down. I thought karma might bring me good luck, but it didn’t.
I'm flying over to my parents for the week (leaving wife and kids at home ) and will be watching the races on the 4K TV with my old man. Going to go for a curry with my sister one evening and a meal at one of the most beautifully located pubs you will ever find (Old Horns at Bradfield if you want to google it) with my brother and family. Plenty of home cooking too, bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast from the local butcher. Bliss. Easyjet will be charging me an excess weight supplement on the way home
God, am I envious, Oddy, especially as I had just an apple for breakfast! You see, missus is on this Lent thing and expects me, a non-participating Protestant, to go along with it! To heck with it. Have some bacon in the fridge, so I am now going to do my own poor version of an English breakfast. Better than nothing! Erm, excuse my ignorance but what is this 4K TV, does it give you the winner before the event? Have a great time watching Cheltenham with your dad. TV's not a bad way to watch the Festival at all, IMHO!
Fwck me , know it well oddy , spent a month in 1974 camped at the cragg along the road from there , put up some routes as well, in them days we used to walk down the fields to low Bradfield, New Inn , 25p a pint for trophy bitter! We'd then stagger up to high Bradfield for one or two more before going back to the tent and cooking food at midnight, I'm sure it was called something else at that time? Had a take out section , for ales, snacks and sweets iirc, and a great snug with a fire ! Happy days

A beautiful part of the country Rudey Both my brother and sister got married in the church right next to the pub. When you sit outside on a warm summer evening, watching the sun slip down over the hills, you get a real sense of awe and tranquility. (Bit more than 25p a pint these days though )
Crikey Swanny, an apple for breakfast.......on a Sunday? In our house the lords day is known as Bacon Sunday. I would be consulting lawyers first thing Monday if that changed to a bit of fruit. Save the apples for a little bit of apple crumble and custard after your Sunday roast mate.
yes that’s a lovely spot that church , we used to get water from the tap there! i’m going to revisit the area on my cycle later in the year we used to get the bus to campo lane in sheffield for pennies for a day out ! A guy on a climbing forum said that the pub in high bradfield was one of the best in the region for food and ale , lots of local ales on tap
