Subjectively you didn't like his music (neither did I, a lot of it). Objectively, he had a wide vocal range, unlike RHC's favourite, Joni Mitchell, he could sing on key. Had a powerful voice, etc. Subjectively he was crap. Objectively he was very talented. Mentally he was a nutjob
Luvgonzo was very much a Prince fan instead. It's not unusual for people not to rate Jacko's music, I've heard ppl say the same about The Beatles. Can understand the reason why for both.
Back in the day (when Prince arrived) he was considered the Jacko alternative. Iirc he saw himself as that.
