FIGARELLA BORGET 6/1 Catterick 5:20 Those with racecourse experience look very opposable and this ones dam is a half sister to none other than Sprinter Sacre. Stuart Edmunds knows how to have one ready and I expect support for this one.
Jesus, hope nobody had any ante post bets with Bet Bright, voiding them all even though they're not going bust etc - Been bought by 888. Can anything be done? Smells Dodgy, plus it was Rich Ricci's betting site!
Just a joke really, voiding all ante post bets a week before the festival with the irony being it was a prominent cheltenham race horse owners site, should be honoring all ante-post bets placed really. Gambling commission now investigating https://www.racingpost.com/news/lat...s-they-announce-tuesday-end-to-trading/369319
In a fair world 888 should buy the potential liabilities as well. If people were in a good position ante-post that is part of the business and there should not be a way of just ignoring that. Punters place ante-post bets in good faith and almost certainly lose more often than they win. They deserve the chance to regain some of their lost stakes to the company on ante-post betting while the company were taking the money off them with next to no chance of the bet ever being voided regardless of the circumstances. Bet ****e more like.
The abandoned Patton Stakes takes place at Dundalk at 7.15 I'll go for Barys again at only 7/1 this time. He was a bit bigger when the race was originally due to be run. The crux of the race rests on whether Evens favourite Western Australia really improved the best part of a stone in the space of two weeks, when 3rd at odds of 50/1 in what was the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster. The Kentucky Derby is probably the long term target for the favourite and the O'Brien runners often need their first race. Barys is no world beater but he has run and won in France last month and that represented a personal best for the Kodiac colt.
Lingfield today there's only like two runners per race and I still don't think I could go through the card!
Making £15 million a week before the festival smacks of arrogance. But then what would you expect from a person who named one of his horses 'fat cat in a hat'? Some people clearly don't believe in ethical or moral business standards but prefer to amass millions whatever the consequence to individuals. You wonder why he didn't cover the potential liabilities for the ante post bets in the deal with 888? why settle for say 10 million when you can get 15 million and stich up some punters eh? Disgraceful behaviour but then not surprised.....
Not really a betting proposition as an unraced 3yo at around even money but I am very keen to see how Ironclad gets on in the 6.00 at Kempton. I know he is very highly thought of at home and could develop into a very handy group horse this year.
Love the dam (who was a dual Grade 1 winner in the US). Produced my old fave, Radiator (who is a full sister to Ironclad). Unquestionably, this is one of the best bred horses in training.
So, as you can tell I was looking to oppose the favourite and others with form and ended up with one of the unraced trio but looking at the market I may have plumped for the wrong one. Slave To Love was briefly 25/1 on opening show but was quickly cut to 16's and then 9's. Others opened at 12's but the best price available now is 4's. The yard is 0 from 9 in bumpers so makes scant appeal to me and I am happy with the one I picked despite being easy to back at 8/1 now.
Seven barrows festival stitch up incoming re Santini. Be careful about videos doing the rounds showing santini sound!
I say old boy that’s a bit ‘doom and gloom’ and ‘Negative Norman’, isn’t it??? In Lieutenant Henderson we trust and all that…
