Morning all. Cloudy and breezy here, but dry, so I might get to sow a row of peas and bring them on under the cloches. First though I have to attend to my wheelbarrow that has yet another flat tyre. The hedgerows have been cut down in height leaving a trail of thorns from the blackberries. I had to buy a new inner tube last year as there was more patch than tube. Still I must first find the puncture.
Morning all. One minute there is bright sunshine, and the next heavy rain sweeping across the valley on a small gale. I think we must be on the tail of the storm that swept in across the Atlantic. I doubt that I will be doing too much outside until this subsides, but as ever there is paperwork mounting up that needs attention. Have a good one whatever you have planned.
For the first time the carnival in Cologne is not being allowed to use real horses because of the stormy weather conditions.
A good result Dave, if not perfect. Four points clear of third now, and you are almost certain of a play off place at worst.
Morning all. Overnight rain and still quite breezy. Looking at the forecast for the coming week if they are correct my remaining water butts might get filled. Many of the outdoor events are now starting with the first large cycle race passing by last Saturday. Time it wrong and you find yourself waiting for it to arrive and pass, or go on a lengthy detour to avoid it. Time is not important unless you need to get home in time for a kick off.
I know that is an unusual thing to put on here, but this Harry Potter FanFiction story has a reference, albeit brief, to SEJ in chapter 10: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6624252/1/Nocturnal-or-Year-of-the-Cat If you, or any of your family, want to read it, I think that it is funny, but some of the imagery is bizarre even by HPFF standards and it is rated at teens or above.
Good morning all from a cool and damp Weston-super-Mare, glad to see the site is back online again! Have a good day
Morning all. Bright, dry, warm, but very breezy. I didn't notice that this site went down, although yesterday evening it became very clunky, not sure if it would post something or not. Plenty that needs to be done at this time of year, it just needs to be organised by the weather, but the forecasts are not that reliable, so it is do things while you can.
Morning all. Bright and breezy again with the odd shower thrown in for good measure. Out of the blue last night we had a thunderstorm, not predicted by anyone, and unusual for this time of year. I remember years ago buying for my business a photocopier that cost over £3,000. Yesterday I bought one that does most of the things that the old one did, and has many features that are new. Cost? €39.
