Amidst the the doom and gloom, we should commend our defence (and defensive structure). We are a really solid unit. Seems like klopp is content with keeping defensive discipline and capitalising on the fine margins (which we should have done today)
Agreed. Though I have no idea why you keep starting Walcott, I think he's finished at this level and offers nothing. Complete dogshit in both games against us. Surely Richarlison would've been a better bet from the start, he gave Robertson one or two scares.
You had a bigger atmosphere and celebration today than any other game you actually won in the last 10 years. That's how bitterness works.
Nice to see our defence be solid again. Admittedly Everton didn’t really attack too much but we never really looked like conceding, similar against United bar the one chance. Concede 0 and it only takes 1 to win. Let’s be honest, had Salah put away either of his good chances of Fabinho put away his, wed be saying what a great performance. Kept Everton at bay, conceded no chances and put 1 or 2 away. That was 1 tricky away game left that we had. Now we have spurs and Chelsea at home in what on paper is our toughest game. City have a few injuries and still have palace, United and burly away. Not easy games by any means, as well as spurs at home in the middle of it. If they come awag with 12 points from those 4 games fair play, they deserve it. Our run in, on paper is slightly easier
Should be, and if spurs get dragged in then should give them incentive v City, although we also play spurs as well so no huge benefit there
You are an extremely strange man. You wish injury on players that play for the club you support and take offence to an opposing teams ball boy sarcastically clapping?
Shame that Salah didn’t have his finishing boots on today. He seems tight recently. We’ve only lost one game all season. We are defensively solid but do lack a midfield spark. If anyone had told me at the start of this season that we’d be on 70 points with 9 games to go and just a point off City, I’d of been surprised. City won at a canter last year, I expected a 10 point gap (it still might be mind!). We are still doing very well. Everton are clearly delighted with their point, we are extremely disappointed. That’s just the measure if our two clubs today. Next....
Maybe the fact that he hasn’t been brilliant the last month or so. If a player isn’t doing it, bench him.
I can assure you that not many were happy round me. Bet @Tobes will say the same. Should have played the 1st half like we did the 2nd.
I wanted the win, and the way the crowd got to them and lifted our players it looked possible. Not going to say I was disappointed with the draw given the effect is has on them though, but I went there thinking we could be beat them.
It wasn't backs to the wall from Everton we just defended well and couldn't get a goal. Everton stayed in the game though and could have scored with a couple of chances and it would be a lot worse for us then. Take the point and move on.
